So glad to see Wanda's getting the attention it deserves. One of the best places around. Too bad you missed Mango Rain. They closed down earlier this year but it was a Thai Indian fusion place with the nicest people and absolutely BEST food. in the area.

@@ayngelina You are welcome! Port Credit is a very beautiful place. And nearby is Oakville just a little farther by GO - also many interesting and beautiful places. GO became very convenient: now trains are every 30 min, some time ago there were just each hour. I love GO.

I live in Mississauga, and have been to the ice cream shop. That places line can go down and around the block! You got lucky there was only a few folks at the time.
Over the weekend I couldn't do it, no ice cream is THAT good. But on a weekday morning it was breezy there was actually NO ONE in front of me. The footage of the line was on the weekend when I thought let me shoot this insanity and come back another time!
Salwa restaurant has some amazing delicious Hyderabad briyani coz its owner is from hyderabad and he is making authentic hyderabadi biryani and appreciate person who made this amazing video 👍

i live 3 minutes from Snug Harbor its a good spot for tourists and locals alike its right along the lake with boats driving by it attracts alot of people and the Port Credit scenery in general from across the GTA
I just found your channel, thanks for visiting my city and your reviews I moved to Mississauga 30yrs ago from Toronto and was sad but I slowly sen it evolved from underrated to one of the best places in Ontario to live wont trade it, you should visit Charlie's West Indian Cuisine its on Hurontario and Dundas they serve traditional west Indian dishes .Again thank s for the review and looking forward to more .

On my back end I can see it reached 30K today. But the numbers don't mean nearly as much as the business that messaged me to say that they were considering closing because they didn't have enough customers and now they're seeing new people daily and can pay their rent. That means the world to me.

Did you even speak to the owners of Maranello Cafe? I am a local and I've lived next door to it for over 20 years, it's always been a separate place to Aielli even though both were owned by the same people.
I really wanted to share the types of places in Canada that I would feature abroad. You know how much I like huecas. But to be honest I didn't know how they would be received. No one needs me to tell them the restaurants that make the top 10 list. But these restaurants are just as good and so I'm thrilled people are interested in this type of food content in Canada.
Yes and I know a lot of people like it. But I wanted to share the lesser known places that perhaps people haven’t tried yet. Family owned independent businesses that could use a spotlight.
It's my favourite as well. Have you noticed now that you're in Lebanon the influence Lebanese immigrants had on some Mexican foods like kibis? I find it fascinating.
I would LOVE that. But I'd need some help as Brampton is so big. This one was at least all one street so I walked up and down it to find the interesting spots.

Mississauga is not a ‘suburb of Toronto’. We are our own city with our own mayor, city hall/council, etc etc. Toronto has no jurisdiction over us. We’re actually related to the Peel group which are cities west of Toronto.
Right. Still a suburb. Just because you have a mayor and are in a different region doesn’t change anything. I live in Oakville, the next town west and even further away from Toronto. Still a suburb. Just saying.

@@ayngelina A restaurant called felafel King was there for about a year. They grew their own food, turned the back into a beautiful dreamy patio..it was packed for lunch. Unfortunately a few of the landlords in that plaza aren’t the greatest and tend to break a lot of rules so they ended up closing shop and salwaa opened up after. (I used to live above the sushi king…love their food)

Exactly yes 1000 years of history but not different people invading , only British ruled over pak/ Hind . Which was one country at the time and biryani’s didn’t come from their influence, rather the the Mughals , rajahs and maharajas feasts were served .
My in laws house 🏠 is in missisuga and we live in Brampton 🏠 born in India and pak so we’re very glad when someone tells our history related to our food and culture
@@ayngelina East Coast Canada or US? I came to Toronto for school and as soon as I started walking out of my plane and thru Pearson, I had a gut feeling I made a huge mistake coming here. Made it work because I didn't want to be miserable but leaving this year or next.
East Coast of Canada, it was the biggest cultural shock I've ever had. But I find with Toronto it takes time to find your place, there's a lot of good and a lot to bad. Once you find the good places it's a fantastic city, especially for travelers.

I'm not sure what was there before but I loved the biryani at Salwaa.
@@ayngelina A restaurant called felafel King was there for about a year. They grew their own food, turned the back into a beautiful dreamy patio..it was packed for lunch. Unfortunately a few of the landlords in that plaza aren’t the greatest and tend to break a lot of rules so they ended up closing shop and salwaa opened up after. (I used to live above the sushi king…love their food)

Exactly yes 1000 years of history but not different people invading , only British ruled over pak/ Hind . Which was one country at the time and biryani’s didn’t come from their influence, rather the the Mughals , rajahs and maharajas feasts were served .
You also have both French and Portuguese colonizers in recent times.
My in laws house 🏠 is in missisuga and we live in Brampton 🏠 born in India and pak so we’re very glad when someone tells our history related to our food and culture
I love India and I’m already planning a trip back in the next few months

I'm not from Toronto but grew up on the East Coast and then moved there. But I can say it's very easy to fall into that belief.
@@ayngelina East Coast Canada or US? I came to Toronto for school and as soon as I started walking out of my plane and thru Pearson, I had a gut feeling I made a huge mistake coming here. Made it work because I didn't want to be miserable but leaving this year or next.
East Coast of Canada, it was the biggest cultural shock I've ever had. But I find with Toronto it takes time to find your place, there's a lot of good and a lot to bad. Once you find the good places it's a fantastic city, especially for travelers.
What shocks did you get? I think Toronto is good to visit for tourism but not live, in my opinion. Do you have instagram
yes my instagram is my name. The culture in the Maritimes is just very different. We're more laid back, friendly and trusting.
I live in Mississauga, the food here sucks. Fact.
I loved the food I ate at in this video. With so many restaurants in Mississauga you should check out some new places.
