Really liked this mode, wonder if they’ll ever bring it back, maybe as a new add of neat new stuff, course that’s if they bring koopa kid back, atleast make him a new enemy like a rash koopa or something.
Hopefully, it will be brought back in a graphically remastered/remade form in _Mario Party Superstars_ in a free update/paid DLC or, what is more likely the case, in the direct sequel to _Mario Party Superstars_ - either as part of the base video game or as a free update/paid DLC.
I've already commented on one of these videos so I'll copy-paste what I said before, then say a few other things: I have never played this game as a kid & really only knew about its existence because of RUclips. However though, I did play something similar to this mode on the PS2, that being a series of games called Armored Core. I specifically remember playing 2, 3, Another Age, Silent Line, Nine Breaker, the 2 Nexus games & Last Raven. With that in mind, it's actually kind of interesting & nice for Hudson Soft to include a tribute to Armored Core as a separate game mode & not just a 1 vs. 3 minigame. Okay, maybe Hudson Soft didn't intend this to be a sort of nod towards Armored Core, especially since From Software was the one behind the AC series & not Hudson Soft not to mention there hasn't been an AC game on a Nintendo console & likely never will be ever since the series abruptly ended after the disappointing Verdict Day. But even if it wasn't intentional, I can definitely see this being a kid's good introduction into the Armored Core series. They'd just need a PS2 at that time. One particular difference is that unlike Super Duel Mode, the Armored Core mechs are usually faster, especially if they're the 2 legged ones or the flying ones. Yeah, there's a lot more customization options since they aren't just a bonus in an otherwise different game, but are instead the main thing, plus DVDs usually have more space on them despite the Gamecube having better graphics capabilities. Another difference I see is with the arenas. Instead of a sort-of tournament as seen here, the arenas in the games I played involved battles with other mechs & just getting higher in ranks until you become A-1, which is a long, but fun process. Not only that, but there are many missions you can go on & eventually other mechs will be added onto the arena section. Well, that is usually. Nine Breaker is more of a training thing for newcomers, which in that case Super Duel Mode can also be seen as a good training thing as well. The more usual AC entries like 2, 3, Another Age, Silent Line, Nexus & Last Raven are usually harder in comparison, but I really do like them & the challenge in them isn't completely unfair, although the prices for the games these days are :(.
How the hell is DK's vehicle so OP?? i have been asking myself that question for 2 decades now!! messing with setups to get THAT specific one but never got it.... HOW???
*From **16:18** to **17:12** in this RUclips video:* *_WOW,_* it sure was a really, *_really_* close match between Mario and Yoshi; Yoshi almost won and prevented Mario from capturing a third Flag!!! 😮😮😮😲😲😲🤯🤯🤯😅😅😅 However, the video game gameplay *_was_* on "Hard" difficulty; so... 🤷♂
Aside from the minigames this is my favorite mode in the game.
Me too, but I was never a good shot at it, but if I ever get to play this game again, I should give it another try.

This mode is single-handedly why Mario Party 5 is my favorite Mario Party.
God this game was so fun.
I still love this mode. Mario Party 5 is still fantastic!

His tires and engine have random stats. For his cpu battle, the tires and engine are maxed out.

How did you get the last two weapons?
You need to have gotten everything else in the Shop for them to show up. They're 30 Battle Points each.
