Whenever this series of the podcats takes more than a month to come out I get separation anxiety. After the last 2 series got cancelled I'm scared it'll never come back every time.
Same. Genuine pain thinking the series dies, every time.
"GET OUT THE GUILLOTINES!" ... Claire is rubbing off on Jon and I am here for it
"Ici l'agent SONGBIRD, la première phase du plan est un succès"
Claire messaging her dad back in France, 2022, probably
Oooh I can't wait for the next episode xD
Ok... when I first read that I missed the "on" word.
You figure out the rest.
Yes, there's an area in America that experiences a lot of tornados. We call it Tornado Alley. It's great.
Edit: yes, there's a magma cycle that's basically the water cycle but MUCH slower. You were right.
I've dodged two tornadoes in the last month, you get used to it
My favorite tornado experience was we were at a convention up in Dallas, there was a decent number of people from out of the country, mostly Canada Norway with a handful from Australia and UK. During the mid afternoon the tornado sirens started going off, everyone who wasnt local started getting anxious, meanwhile we just very calmly ushered them into the bathrooms
Half of Mt. St. Helens fell off and then it EXPLODED, and now it's arguably the prettiest mountain in the state. Rainier gets all the love, but I mean... it's a mountain. St. Helens is a *broken* mountain, which is inherently more interesting.
People were camping on the side when it erupted. Like, people thought "ooh, this will be cool to watch" and then the side blew off on them.
Solder is about 60% tin and 40% lead. Tin's melting point is 231.9°C, lead's is a bit higher (327.5°C).
Interestingly the combo melts at a lower temp than each component, with 60/40 melting at about 190°C.
Soft soldier is made usimg additional components which can get the melting point as low as 88°C.
The first 20 minutes of this video is a fever dream. 😂
Every one of these is a fever dream
Then the 20 minute mark needs a nausea warning 🤣
I remember my Uncle Johnny telling my Aunt Eve not to leave her kids alone near the pigs. She was laughing about it with my other Aunt, Sasha, and Sasha just looked at her dead eyed and said "He wasn't joking, I knew a guy who's brother was eaten."
Anyways pigs are smart. If you pass out drunk in a pig pen they will leave you alone if you're their friend, otherwise you're getting eaten.
Someone should make a game thats just a world where all the physics are modelled after Jons explanation of them
I believe Bethesda are trying their hardest with that via glitches
@00:05:00 The nicest thing Jon has ever said in public about Claire because it's somewhere he knows she won't hear it ;-)
@00:49:30 I used to do ROI testing, I never expected it to make it onto the podcast. Thanks Matt.
@00:55:40 Why would so many of Jon's plans to "improve life of Earth" actually result in accidentally killing everything?
@02:02:35 Of course he would Dan, he's British. We're more uncomfortable with sex than we are with suffering. It's build into us from day 1.
@02:04:00 Isn't this a plot arc in The Good Place?
Feral pigs can rapidly destroy crops. Texas has a problem to such a degree that they are culled with a bounty provided in some counties.
I've been binge watching these, and this is the 3rd or 4th time Jon has been essentially correct, and Matt calls him a fookin idiot and Dan laughs. Then they fail to explain, it becomes obvious that they don't know any more about the subject than Jon does, everybody gets frustrated, and they move on.
Which leads to a couple of conclusions:
1) Matt and Dan aren't nearly as smart as they think they are
2) Jon isn't nearly as dumb as they think he is
3) Jon really is the Socrates of the group
4) You really should get some new material, because it's getting tedious
For the record, Jon:
Magma *does* go through a cycle that is very similar to the water cycle.
Rotating a magnet in a coil of wire *does* drag the charge around
The bicycle chain *does* stay the same length, it's the gears that change size giving the mechanical advantage
I will literally never get tired of them poking fun at Jon for not knowing things about things.
'I'm the Socrates of this group!' No, Jon, you're the 'So-crates' of the group.
I know it doesn't get a lot of views but please don't stop doing this they're so good.
I believe they aren’t supposed to get a lot of views. They are likely primarily for attracting people to the Patreon and then just released to the general public to be nice.
good timing releasing this during tornado season and when a tornado is expected today
Wait, Gottfried's 9 minute Aristocrats joke was immediately after one of the first public 9/11 jokes? Jesus, that ended up being an iconic show.
Me, living in Washington state with the most active volcanoes in the US:
Damnit Bush
55:01 ah yes, the lovey moment where Jon is about to turn the podcast into a shit show of everyone hating life. I love it. Never change.
Plants are alive and feel pain too , so i honestly dont see the differnece
Agreed. All life is built on death, it's just the cycle we're built in. The only way to avoid all pain and suffering from others would be to eat fruit that fell to the ground, and, frankly, that is just way too hard to manage while staying healthy.
I want a restaurant called Coco's Plate.
My brother calling milk "cow juice" put me off of drinking it for longer than I want to admit.
Was so happy to see this back :)
If you see solid gold limousines outside your doctor's surgery, run, run fast, because they are probably killing their patient after writing them a new will with themselves as the sole benefactor that their family doesn't know about.
As an American I have to say "My Volcano. My Choice."
And so the saga of Jon vs Science continues.
This never fails to entertain!!
Jon's volcano plan is literally just the plot of Austin Powers
Thanks to Dan I googled how Pâtés are made and a I had to do a deep dive to find how one specific one based on geese is made.
Should I put the rest on the same line or...?
Thanks for this. Also Lingo is a Dutch show. Not sure if it originated here though, but it was huge! GROOOOEEEENNN!
"This feels like an attack on Jon, quite frankly."
I knew it! I knew you were prepping to attack me! SOUND THE KLAXON, WE'RE GOING TO WAR!!
How does a vegetarian of 15 years (Matt) know that vegan and normal greggs sausage rolls taste the same?
@@Mattophobia Unrelated note, but I watched your Fallout 4 twitch stream where you were unable to start MQ206 The Molecular Level. Did you happen to kill Doctor Amari by any chance? MQ206 stage 10 requires her to be alive if you destroyed the Railroad. Speaking with her to get redirected to RR HQ (whether you haven't met them, got kicked out, or destroyed them) is what disables her and Irma's essentials tags.
“Volcanoes don’t melt steel beams” lols.
Loved the argument about the name of the episode, while we know what it gets called!
Good timing uploading it in the start of May
I wondered where Podcats was......yay it's here! I love the cake metaphor although I WAS wondering what Matt had done with a cake for the first couple of minutes.....!
10/10
Podcats of the month!
Oh no Jon is trying to do science!
How did Ashens makke Dan lactose intolerant?
I love them going down to 50 million, and talking about NFTs, the same day as the Square Enix nonsense.
As a leftist Jew from the NYC area I think my level of offence at this video is a net neutral 😅
I love you Jon and I want to wish you luck because the comments on this could be summit else lol
I'm living in Yellowstone Park currently. Kinda hope it doesn't explode.
There's was 9/11 jokes that were text to me when the second plane was hitting the tower.
Day 693 of requesting Zoo Tycoon. All hail the return of the podcats. Let the chaos begin!
I could probably kill a chicken because my mother has taught me the best ways to kill them without having them suffer.
She used to have chickens and a pig. This was before I was born though.
JON!
Check out the Skull&Co switch Gripcase.
It actually makes the Switch ergonomic without having to buy specialised Joycons!
Also it comes in lots of colours so you can be OCD and match your joycons.
Should look up how many volcanoes in Auckland New Zealand. We have about 50 lol.
Jon is actually somewhat correct, about the magma cycle!
Is “taking cake out of the box” even more disgusting than “googling tractors” ?
I wonder if we are producing an artificial genetic push for chickens to mostly lay hens?
I have slaughtered cow and chicken before my grandfather’s best friend is Almish
The education system totally failed these men. LOL
Things that Jon doesnt understand Ep 7
I swear these NFT grifters have no clue what already exists. There's already a virtual land rental and sub-rental system that's been around for over a decade - its called Second Life. And Second Life actually, you know, exists. Unlike these NFT scams.
I've known people who made actual money there. No scams needed, they just literally paid the tier price on some land and rented it out to others for profit. And those renters could make whatever they wanted on that land. Pretty damn awesome place.
What Jon said but unironically
Jon, as a fellow brum, i tell you, how have you not seen a buch of 12 year old thugs try and stab each other
Only *checks calendar* a month late!
I sure wish I could go back to not knowing about chick shredding.
Peaky Blinders
There is a wordle book...
All of it
Don't fish die by drowning?
Was anyone else eating like a really disgusting meaty food while they were listening to this? (Fried Pig guts fyi,)
Or am I just a horrible person.
Yes, get out the guillotines.
Hi. not new but what is this?
The best and worst corner of the internet.
Had to pause and recover at a few points, lost it laughing too many times.
As for ethical eating habits, I've been kind of doing it by accident. I'm trying to eat healthier and part of that is eating more plant and less meat(imagine thinking of meat as a side rather than the main course).
Unsubbed from nerdcubed when he started doing his outro proudly displaying the commie hammer and sickle.. Disliked, next. Sorry not sorry.

As opposed to all the non-communist hammer and sickle symbols.
@@peterprime2140 Of course, how could we forget about the famed neoliberal hammer and sickle?

only reason dan is childless is because when the political system he supports takes over, he doesn't want to be forced to eat his own kid.
