Loving your videos bud. You have a lot patience with the chap who is setting up the Subaru, and rightly so. It needs to be done correctly first time round, rather than revisiting it here and there in the future. Here's a thought for you, when you sell the Subaru engine, use the funds to set up a clean work space/area for yourself in the workshop at home. Your a top guy Isaac. Keep the video's coming!
As a young member of the team, perhaps you should be spending time learning the process of grinding crankshafts while the ultimate teacher is still working at Barum. Its not an overnight skill, which will take hours (weeks) to learn.
Good to see your confidence and info is getting better. One hint though, you walked around the shop a lot, that I was getting dizzy. I guess you were doing it on the fly, trying to get everything in the video. Hope you get your car soon.
Hi and we'll done Isaac on another edition of BBTS, you seem to be starting to relax a bit more, alot better without the shades on, maybe it's being an oldie but I like to see someone's eyes when they're talking to me. I really hope you got good news as I'm sure your busting to get it back Catch you soon
Wonderful work Issac and I appreciate that you are showing us work that is going where the main channel just seems to gossip about customers instead of showing actual machine work. I miss what the channel used to do with showing us viewers actual work in progress. I know that the 3 of you have a lot of work to get through but, maybe one of the channels can show more work even if it means the video is 25 minutes long. I understand that I am only speaking on behalf of myself but, I believe that others may feel the same way
Another good video. Thanks, Isaac. Would this be a great opportunity, as part of your apprenticeship, to begin to learn the mysterious art of crank-grinding? To learn on your own crank would be a great opportunity and very beneficial, from the point of view of insisting on getting it right!. P11D and taxation....benefits in kind....not just capital gains made on selling "stuff". Check it out and the "work-arounds". THE BIG QUESTION AGAIN, while I'm here, and its more for Lee: I'm certain we'd all love to know what happened about the Septic who was going to ship container-loads of machinery to you FREE....What was the outcome, please? Good luck, Mike
Have a great weekend Isaac 🤗 Lee is a super boss and an excellent role model. Looking forward to seeing more content. Regards, Bob M. South Wales (The clock battery guy 😄)
GREAT job Isaac! The Suby will come. I agree with you regarding a better work space. Continue to "work smart" As always...... Be good. Remain safe. Go out and have a DELUXE weekend!
Hey up mate as someone else said learn those crank grinding skills and if you're keen to be building subys why not get hold ov a thinner wheel if needed
Video editing tip: run your audio through a compressor-limiter plugin so the volumes all match up better. Optionally, there are some pretty capable noise cancelling plugins as well to remove background hum and such. There are plenty of tutorials on youtube to help you figure out the settings.
Thanks for the suggestion! To be totally honest, the Audio is bad because I bought some very cheap microphones, they are gated to remove background noise(kind of) but the gain is too high and it makes those horrible boomy sounds. I actually have a lvl3 diploma in sound engineering, not that you would be able to tell from the way these videos sound!! Thank you for the feedback though, I’m getting some new mics soon that will improve the quality a lot and when start getting better and more efficient with the videos I can take more time to properly mix the audio! 👌🏼👌🏼
Hi I've seen a few of your vid's about your Legacy - when these Scooby du's are running they run well and sound good but when they aren't you need very deep pockets and a lot of patience - if you want economy and fun you should get a 2wd single cab 09 Ford Ranger with the Mazda Engine - a lot of fun in the wet sometimes a bit scarey lol , i like both of the vid's i use to work in the recon performance and classic game - i've done the garage trade aswell - the smallest engine i did was a 125 and the biggest engine i did was a 114 Scania lorry engine , i like a lot of engines - singles twins fours eights and bigger - but that scandi 5 cylinder is a peace of gas guzzling crap its even worse in the Focus , Carry on with the vids i like it , 👍
My dad had a ranger thunder (06), It was a crew cab but bloody hell he could slide it if he wanted😂 best truck we ever had. He’s got an L200 now. Bit meh
I have agree with others. Please stand/sit still while you are just talking. It's distracting, and you could edit (even by just stopping the camera) or later, or just appear at the new location (either for morectakk, or for work in progress. Cliffhangers are okay. Cheers.❤❤

Absolutely. My thoughts exactly ...

Thanks Bob!
I thought the bearings would be oversized to suit the crank which would be undersized!!

Great to see another BTS video have a great weekend.
Thank you! You too!
Nice one Isaac👍
You never grind a subaru crank as it will always end in tears
Just put a new crank and acl bearings in

Its an engine builder channel, not a cinematic photography channel. 😂😂
I've got motion sickness.
Sorry about that, as I said my gimbal isn’t working at the moment so I couldn’t use it. Hopefully it’ll be sorted for the next video 👍🏼
WOW Issac, There is no strength in them fly wheels mate, I am amazed they don't snap cranks often or maybe they do , l am not big on scubbys. Dave
Each to their own! I’ve loved them from a kid, and wouldn’t be doing this now if I never saw a Scooby!
Also put on a new oil modine as you wany get any metal swarf out of it, if you do start it on an old modine you will swipe out the bearings instantly
The EJ20X doesn’t have one, so should be all good!
Is it me but I thought you had fully rebuild your Subi engine. So how come you have to stripe it down again?? 🤔
The engine im talking about is another short block engine that I am refurbishing and selling to recoup some money I’ve spent on my Legacy!!
Screw the tax man

Undersize bearings?
Yes, we use undersized bearings when the crank has been ground 👍🏼
Fek the tax man 😉
