Not a tie wear apart from wedding and funerals. Thanks for this video this was the best video i found and i tried a lot. You helped me look my best for my Nan one last time and for that i am truly thankful.
+TetherT You are welcome. Don't be afraid of wearing more than a funeral or a wedding. Many are wearing it to dinners, dates with the misses, and even job interviews. Obviously choose your knot wisely before each occasion and you should be good to go.
I just tied the Eldredge knot for the first time.I followed your video step by step.Even pausing and restarting at points. It took a couple of tries, but i got it.Don't think i could do it on the fly though...lol.Its a great looking knot.I asked someone for an opinion and they liked it.On New years weekend i'm going to the Edison in Los Angeles for my birthday.I got a new sport coat and shirts.I think i will be sporting this knot for that occasion. Its nice to finally have other knot choices from the traditional.I look forward to trying some of the others.Thank you for the easy to follow videos.
+soupbonekid I'm happy you enjoyed it and yes, the Eldredge knot is great for a New Year's eve celebration. Enjoy your trip and thank you for watching Sir.
I had a friend post this knot on his FB page and I took it as a challenge to see if I could pull it off. The Eldridge is my favorite knot and it always catches the eye. In fact my brother got married this past week and I made sure all of the groomsmen and the groom were hooked up with this knot. Thanks for the video, it made the learning curve a bit smaller.
These videos are amazing, i have been a lead server at my culinary school and i have been following the tie knots like the double winsor, trinity knot, and now the eldredge. So simple and good instructions, great videos.
Scott Gaines That's great to hear Scott and thank you for watching my videos. I have to ask if there is a specific knot that chefs wear either be it a cravat, scarf, or ascot? I'd love to know so I can do a video specific to your industry. Thanking you in advance.
+Patrick Novotny it depends on the area, usually front of the house servers wear normal neck ties or bow ties depending on the restaurant and I've seen chefs wear a scarf under there coat but usually they just wear the chef jacket by itself
Did your know? Neckties started appearing on Father’s Day greeting cards in the 1920s. From that day onwards, it became the most popular Father’s Day gift around the world.
+Alessandro Coraglia Thank you for the huge compliment. It means a lot to me that I can explain how to do these fun knots so people can wear them everywhere. Well, not everywhere like they should take them off before taking a shower for example or during procreation if you like ;)
I love the cape. The most, because I can remember it, haha. The trinity is cool but I cannot get it perfect yet. This one, I tried but I butchered it. Time for practice!!
wow, just discovered your channel and I love it !Too bad in many occupations in my country the tie is out of style but defenitely I am gonna wear them again as a woman! love this accesorie! Thanks for all the inspiration
thank you Patrick, I like you're tie knots and hopefully I learn more of them.....my church and Pastor like them.....oh question how did you get the other ties to do the templar I have click on the link and it doesn't work
Patrick Novotny Your rock so much! Thanks, I appreciate your very prompt response to my question, but I thought to myself..."If I learn just one of your tie knots, and perfect it with a real tie...? Well, your awesome tutorials motivated me to be very tenacious, and simply learn how to tie real ties! Thank you, sir! I hope this message finds you very well! Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Ari Castillo It's not recommended, but you can on a low setting and cover it with another cloth to avoid direct contact of your iron onto your tie. Remember to use a low setting to avoid damaging your material.
Ari Castillo The best way to store your ties are rolled in your drawer, the next best way to store them is to hang them but they may stretch over time depending on the material and quality of your tie.
What's the difference between this knot the fishbone and the artichoke and the boutineer? They all look the same except for the number of crosses. Is that the only difference?
Is there a way to tie a (Adult) tie that will fit a young boy. I can't sew and I want my husband and son to match but there is not a big selection for " Daddy and Son ties" So I would like to know if this is possible? So I can buy 2 ( Adult) ties instead of 1.
i Would like to know if you could help me figure out the Catherine knot by Noel Junio.....he don't explain it and don't do it slow can you please help me out.....do you any new ones ????? I've done some of you'res and in my church they liked them
+sammythesnake1986 I am very happy to meet requests for people, but not if you are swearing. I am trying to elevate everyone's standard of class so I ask you kindly to refrain from using language like that around here. Thank you Sir.

Clark Tenney You're most welcome and I would love to see a picture of all the groomsmen with Eldredge knots. I'm yet to see that. That would be epic!

Theguatirman357 Perhaps you might want to try the Double Eldredge knot next.
I would if I had the right kinda ties, almost all of mine are thick and striped. You wouldn't happen to know any good tie sites would you?

Tips on how to care for your tie. For hard to remove stains, hold the spot over the steam from a boiling kettle and apply cleaning fluid.

How to care for your tie. Let water spots on silk ties dry and then rub it briskly with the same fabric to remove them.
Nice and easy explanation. I hope it can be use on a marriage (I'll be the best man). :D
It's perfect for a wedding Priscilio Almeida , just be careful not to upstage the groom. :) Have a great time.
Thanks Courtenay. I got carried away with the intro a bit :) Take care.
Learn how to tie the Eldredge knot here as seen on Jimmy Kimmel and FreddieW video Tie Fighters (ft. Jimmy Kimmel)
Belíssimo Nó, e Ótimo tutorial Patrick!!
Marcio Vieiras Thank you Sir.
Hi patrick, nice video...just one question..isnt the tie supposed to touch ur belt ? ur ties look short in length..thanks.
gaurav sharma You're absolutely right. I would have to re-tie it 1 or 2 times to get the length right before leaving the house.
You are the best!
Thank you Damian.
Is a New Years knot in the works?
+Mr0204329 Did you see the double eldredge knot doubled?

meu esposo usou este nó em nosso casamento! arrasou!
Patrick Novotny Do they make, 'Clip-on' ties with this knot?

Patrick Novotny Your rock so much! Thanks, I appreciate your very prompt response to my question, but I thought to myself..."If I learn just one of your tie knots, and perfect it with a real tie...? wayne lawson My thoughts exactly. Have yourself a Merry Christmas Sir.
Patrick, Can I iron the Necktie like a normal garment?
Ari Castillo It's not recommended, but you can on a low setting and cover it with another cloth to avoid direct contact of your iron onto your tie. Remember to use a low setting to avoid damaging your material.
Thank you so much, then what should I do to keep it without wrinkles
Ari Castillo The best way to store your ties are rolled in your drawer, the next best way to store them is to hang them but they may stretch over time depending on the material and quality of your tie.
What's the difference between this knot the fishbone and the artichoke and the boutineer? They all look the same except for the number of crosses. Is that the only difference?
Elias Bardis You are spot on. The beginning is slightly different and then they add more layers.
What's the difference between Eldridge and Novotny knots?
Novotny knot takes less moves. Easier for people that find their tie coming up short when tying the eldredge. It's a short cut.
Is there a way to tie a (Adult) tie that will fit a young boy.
I can't sew and I want my husband and son to match but there is not a big selection for " Daddy and Son ties" So I would like to know if this is possible? So I can buy 2 ( Adult) ties instead of 1.
Luckily, average size men can go to the big and tall shops for longer ties 😁
i Would like to know if you could help me figure out the Catherine knot by Noel Junio.....he don't explain it and don't do it slow can you please help me out.....do you any new ones ?????
I've done some of you'res and in my church they liked them
+Eugenio Ortiz I seen that not, but I haven't tried to learn it yet. I have a long to tie list ahead of me. Yes, I will be doing more new knots soon.
I like this intro more
I keep trying this one but just can't get it done…
Daniel Cortes It took me about a 1/2 hour the first time to get it. Don't give up.
I like the way Alex Krasny ties it better it neater looking. This is still nice but it looks a little bunched up.
Nick Vasquez I'm a big fan of Alex Krasny and he does a great job on his videos too.
good!!
still trying to crack this. one day it will be mine! (then I'll never undo it)

Your tie ends up being too short.
Looks like you came up a lil' short.
You're right. I should have used a different tie that isn't so bulky and short.
Nunca usas corbata pero, esta NocheVieja necesitas ponerte una....Aquí tienes la solución!!! bit.ly/226BA82
+Rafael GutBar Great job on your video.
Thank you, Patrick. Aur viewers' opinions are very important for us.
are you fucking serious! A 30 second intro and outro? Why would you think it's ok to do that?
Worst knot ever!!!!!!
Great! What's you're favourite knot Austin?
You’re bad at explaining things to people that have never done it before
Patrick at the beginning of your intro is that a morse code message?
