American expat to the Netherlands here. Every time you said Zuid, I actually cringed. Also, the coffee thing is really true. We have free coffee machines in government buildings, coffee stands at train stations, the university I go to is flooded with those things... Coffee is everywhere. One more note: Our agriculture is so good, we have some of the cheapest groceries in the world. For instance, I can buy a bag of apples for 3 Euros, a loaf of bread for 1 Euro, and a kilo of chicken for 7 Euros.

I'm from Belize and despite being a Central American/Caribbean country our prefer cheese (other than Happy Cow cheese of Austria) Dutch Cheese (Edem) is our go to cheese that we put on practically any food that normal see other cheese like from pasta to Latin dishes and sometimes on pizza and they are found in or on our traditional breakfast dishes

I don't know the word for stampot in english (Potatoes mashed with vegetables), slow cooked beef. We luckily also have a lot of foreign influences on what our dinner looks like. (and i like for example, a chopstick, some cooked potatoes, with gravy and let's say some broccoli) I always cook to much potatoes, so the next day i crush them a little bit and bake them, some onions, seasoning and a total different taste, but i guess you know this.
