Wallahi it was fully packed out to the brim so many brothers Mā’Shā’Allah attended to benefit from URH he is a gem to us, may Allah preserve him and bless him. [SURAH FATHIHA
(LECTURE BY USTADH ABDUL RAHMAN HASSAN (May Allaah preserve him)]

Surah Fathiha has 6 names which are authentically transmitted from hadees of Prophet (pbuh) and from the statements of the Sahabas
1.Fathihatul kitab
2.Ummul Quran
3.Ummul Kitab
4. As sabul masani
5. Al Quran ul Azeem
6. Surahtul hamd
Virtues of surah Fathiha:
1. It is a light from Allaah
2. No Prophet was ever given a surah like this before
Ibn Abbas reported: While the Angel Jibreel was sitting with the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, he heard a creaking noise above him. Jibreel raised his head and he said, “This is a door of heaven that has been opened today and it has never been opened before today.” Then an angel descended from it, and Jibreel said, “This angel descended to the earth today and he has never descended until today.” The angel greeted him with peace and he said, “Glad tidings of two lights you have been given, which were not given to any prophet before you: the opening of the Book, Surat al-Fatihah, and the last verses of Surat al-Baqarah. You will never recite a letter from them but that you will be given.”

Grade: Sahih (authentic) according to Muslim
3. If a person misses the recitation of surah fatiha in their salah they have to repeat the salah
(Reciting surah fatiha is Arkaan us salah - pillar of salah)
4. Greatest chapter of the Qur'an
Abu Sa’id ibn al-Mu’alla reported: I was praying in the mosque when the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, called out to me but I did not respond. I said later, “O Messenger of Allah, I was praying.” The Prophet said, “Did not Allah say: Respond to Allah and the Messenger when he calls you?” (8:24) Then, the Prophet said, “Shall I not teach you the greatest chapter in the Quran before you leave the mosque?” The Prophet took me by the hand and when he intended to leave, I said to him, “Did you not say that you would teach me the greatest chapter in the Quran?” The Prophet said, “All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the worlds (1:1), which are the seven oft-repeated verses and the great Quran given to me.”

When Allaah said I would give my slave the guidance he has asked for in surah fatiha and why do we see that people are not guided ?
Ans :
The person should have the following qualities to receive guidance from Allaah ,
1. Hope
2. Mahabba
3. Fear
4. Ebadah
5.. Seeking help from Allaah
