- Edit: It is so difficult to say this but, I dedicate this video in loving memory of our Captain, Christopher Plummer. You brought Captain Von Trapp to life in ways nobody did before, since or ever will. I will treasure those memories forever. Oh, Captain, My Captain!
The Sound of Music is my favourite film without any exception. Julie As many people, I grew up watching this movie and never tire of it. The relationship portrayed by the incredible Julie Andrews and stellar Christopher Plummer is absolutely one of cinema's greatest achievements. This is a tribute to two of my favourite people.
I know that Christopher Plummer and Julie Andrews are both very talented actors but there was something between them that transcended their acting ability. You can call it chemistry or whatever you like. I believe they truly were in love with one another.

The magnificent locations and lighting, the magisterial directing of Robert Wise, costuming, music, and above all the crowning acting abilities of Julie Andrews and Christopher Plummer--intelligent, nuanced, and graceful every time they walk into a scene make this an enduringly satisfying movie. Their respectful, then smoldering, then wondrously adult romance never, ever grows old.
Has there ever been anyone more handsome than Christopher Plummer? Will there ever be anyone as good looking as him ever again?
Chris truly was and is one of a kind in every way. He is immortalised in this film and many others too. However, he will always be my Captain, my Captain! ❣❣❣

I absolutely love this film. Christopher Plummer is so handsome and when he and Julie Andrews do the love scene in the gazebo and he gently kisses her, wow. Such feeling and sweetness in that moment, I would have been swept off my feet if it were me.
It is my all time favourite movie too. I completely agree about the Gazebo scene: it is so pure and authentic. Nothing like it anymore

I agree. The gazebo love scene in the moonlight and the Laendler Austrian folk dance, with her beautiful blue dress and him dressed in his captain’s uniform where he stops and stares into her eyes just a little too long, makes me melt. I imagine myself in Maria’s place during those scenes because he’s so sexy and romantic and their chemistry is so spot on real that you can feel it.
I remember that when I was in the 1st grade, my teacher wanted to show me and my class this movie. So she did, but my classmates were being noisy. The teacher even had to say, "Children! We're watching The Sound of Music, not the sound of your voice!" (it makes me laugh to this day) I think I was the only one who actually wanted to watch the movie.
Thank you, Christopher and Julie, for being a huge part of my childhood. I will never forget this movie.
That is such a great memory! It really is the best movie because of Julie and Christopher.
They were a huge part of my childhood too. I think they were (are) probably a very large part of why I already knew what love was when I was 8 or 9.
Yes, I know it's a movie. The love story and the story of their family are both very much from real life.

I like how we get to see that they do really love each other (the Captain and Maria) whereas what Liesl had with Rolf is not the real thing but someday she might find real love with someone else.
From seeing her father and new mother together she at least knows now what real love is. 💘
My mother send us 6kids to c this beautiful movie I think 11yrs or 12yrs old , sound of music never left my heart. RIP Christopher u died the same day with my dad Victor may God heavenly angels take you and my dad to heaven.

Gracias por hacer este video, yo amo esta película desde mis 8 años, hoy tengo 55 y puedo decir que en cine la vi 86 veces mas las miles de veces que le vi en tv, en super 8, vhs y dvd mas el longplay y cd... pero el mayor logro que tuve y agradecere por siempre al universo, es haber podido viajes desde Buenos Aires a Salzburgo para recorrer el tour "The Sound of Music" en el cual em la pase llorando todo el tiempo de emoción. Tomo prestado este video para publicarlo en mi facebook y tenerlo para siempre... MUCHAS GRACIAS!!!!

@@liptak15 I do the same. Sometimes I just binge watch it for weeks at a time. Often, no matter how many times I watch it, I will see something different or take away something new from it. Essentially a metaphysical reaction.

Love the film right up through the wedding and the happy couple's honeymoon return - but then I turn it off. The family's movie escape may be dramatic but is far from the actual truth.
The real Von Trapp's flight from Austria was uneventful. They packed their bags, casually boarded a train, and rode it undisturbed to Italy.
