You actuality had a real balcony.. wow.. keep up the great work.. you voice comes out amazing on our Sony TV with acoustic sound where the OLED glass is actually the speakers..
I have sailed with celebrity for years, if you had asked your room steward they would have done their best to get the type of deck furniture you wanted. The service (along with food) is one of the main reasons celebrity is ranked so highly.
Thanks for the review. We have a SV booked on the Edge this year. This is our first Edge class, have always sailed on the Equinox and are looking forward to it.
While you were out on the balcony, did you ever smell the smoke from the engine? I was on the Royal Carribean Anthem of the Seas and whenever I was around the back of the ship, the smell of the smoke from the engine was really strong. We booked this sunset veranda room and I'm a little worried about it being at the back of the ship for that reason.
Is this from the cruise that just finished (debarkation on saturday 21st) ? If so, we were a few floors above you in 10280. These truly are the best cabins on the ship.
Hi Sullanciri2002! We got back to Athens on August 7th so just missed you. We are so happy to hear you loved the sunset veranda cabin as much as we did. I feel that this category is the hidden gem. Sometimes the classics are better....that's why they are classics (like the straight up martini in the main atrium martini bar....skip the bells & whistles...but still all the flair!)
Do you think they would empty the refrigerator in the room if we asked? I am getting ready to book and will have the drink package too. It would be nice to have an empty frig for waters, etc.
We had the cheapest internet option which was only good for basic emails and messaging. They have a more expensive version that they say allows streaming but we didn’t try it.
No privacy issues for us. If you stand right at the edge of the railing and look up and back, anyone looking over their railing abo e you will see you. But if you sit back a bit towards the door, you feel very private. Deck 7 seems to be the same as Deck 8; however the veranda sizes vary according to their proximity to midship. So we chose 8317 because it was close to the centre. The verandas towards the edge of the ship get slightly narrower. I hope this helps
Its honestly quite complicated! A lot depends on where you are flying from (we flew from the UK) - so Canada may be different. We were able to fly to Greece providing only proof of full vaccination. Then, Celebrity set up a Antigen test tent that everyone had to go through before embarkation. The process was quite disorganized and took two hours! Hopefully by the time you go this will be cleared up. There was an antigen test the day prior to disembarkation as well but I don't think this was mandatory, however it was necessary for us to board our British Airways flight back to the UK. I've heard this is necessary to get back to Canada too, but you should double check. The rules are changing fast so I would check the Canadian government website regularly in the week leading up to your trip. By the way, the ship is near perfect! This is definately the future of cruising in my opinion - we will be posting more videos sharing the rest of the ship in the next couple days. Have fun!
@@tnptravel thank you. I agree. We also need the test before flying back to Canada. However we’re staying in Greece for an extra week after the cruise . So not sure how that will work.
@@klinzons When we we our Covid test for returning had to be within 3 days of our return to the UK. I would check the Canadian requirment. You may need to book a test in Greece privately before you return. Hope you have a great trip!
going on apex in a week really not looking forward to Infinite veranda wish they had kept regular patio doors. I like to get up early or stay up late on balcony not gon a be able to sit and listen to waves at night like on oasis royal ships
Those infinite verandas are a joke! And whoever at Celebrity Royal Caribbean signed off on that design should be fired. You charge a rate like these are balcony cabins, when they are just a damn window that goes up and down.
I don’t know what room you’re in I was not a text, single and six there’s no place to put her clothes did not look anything like this. You can hardly walk between the TV. It’s so cold balcony. Entertainment was color by number. We do see them bartenders through the trick with the grasses. I was the only entertainment we have not good at all.

I love sunset veranda cabins, love sitting on the balcony watching the ship’s wake. So relaxing!
Looks like a fabulous veranda. Your comment about bigger furniture including table sounds about right. Certainty enough room for it!
You can have room attendant change to lounger

That's a great suggestion and you're right. We should have just asked. Our room steward was amazing. Next time!
mY GRAND DAUGHTERS AND i ARE EXCITED TO BE ABLE TO EXPERIENCE THID CABIN SOON!!!!!
Thanks for the review. We have a SV booked on the Edge this year. This is our first Edge class, have always sailed on the Equinox and are looking forward to it.
Great video! Looking forward to trying this ship!
Our favourite ship yet!
Lovely cabin and a great balcony! We’ve never cruised with Celebrity but we would love to cruise on an Edge Class ship
I'm sure you could have requested a lounger? Lovely cabin..

We never smelled smoke from the engine at all. You will enjoy the Sunset Veranda...that view is incredible!
Funny, I had just booked this cabin, and then saw your video .
You picked a great cabin! Have a fantastic trip!
Fab presentation :)
Thank you 😋

We have this room category booked and are concerned about the noise from Eden. We are not night owls and heard it was a problem at night.
We never heard any noise in our cabin. You will love going out at night onto your balcony and watching the wake in the moonlight.
Do you think they would empty the refrigerator in the room if we asked? I am getting ready to book and will have the drink package too. It would be nice to have an empty frig for waters, etc.
Yes just ask your cabin steward and they will be happy to empty it for you. Fair warning it is not a really cold fridge but will keep things cool.
Can I ask how the wi fi was? Were you able to stream, be on zoom calls?
We had the cheapest internet option which was only good for basic emails and messaging. They have a more expensive version that they say allows streaming but we didn’t try it.
I would much prefer the Sunset Veranda although I’ve heard they’re quite a bit more expensive than the the traditional Veranda.
Any privacy issues when sitting on the veranda? Rooms from above looking down? Were veranda rooms on deck 7 have the same veranda layout? Thanks.

@@tnptravel Thank you so much! Now hopefully we get to cruise sometime later this year.
Where you traveling concierge class or are those standard shower gels?
We were not in concierge class so yes, they were standard shower gels, shampoo and conditioner. We were quite impressed with the quality
I’m going on this cruise in 13 days, so excited. Did you need a Covid test before embarkation and disembarkation?

Did you feel any engine vibration?
No. The ship was new and we were high enough that we didn't notice the engines at all. We have noticed this on older ships in the past.
