The movies: break the internal logic of the world for no reason in literally the first five seconds of the first movie and later try to fix it in a way that just invites more unanswered questions about the way the world functions, turn Grover into a playboy, age the characters and make them bland, take out basically all of the humour, just generally fuck up the plot, remove Ares and as a final gigantic nail in the coffin Percy and others fight Chronos at the end of the second movie probably because the writers knew they weren't gonna get a third one but it still has the balls to end on a bizarre cliffhanger that makes no sense.
I started screaming out of joy over the title 😅

My only hope is that Disney not interfere with this at all. Let Rick have sway over this series, just like you let Dave Filoni have sway over the return of Clone Wars. Because I already can foresee possible detriments to Percy Jackson if this is handled poorly. I don’t want to see a future of my favorite books series suffer from a divided fanbase. I’m pointing at you Star Wars Sequels trilogy! But I won’t let my worries destroy my excitement for now.🤘🏼

Finally, a Percy Jackson series but I HATE that it’s on DISNEY + .
I’ve really been enjoying Disney plus. Definitely worth the money it’s great
Avery Scott Their content is just “Remember this from your childhood?” Nothing else so far. Also Disney is family friendly. Streaming service like Netflix would be perfect and they also have a great history of finding unknown talent. Disney + was good for a month but Netflix is far superior when it comes to giving out fresh content. HBOMAX is coming in for a close second.
1. Disney plus is family friendly, yeah, but Percy Jackson is a series for kids, even if adults enjoy it. I don’t see how that’s a problem.
2. Yeah it’s a nostalgia thing but it needs time to make original content. I like the ironic enjoyment of hsmtmts and there’s more stuff in the making. Plus a nostalgia factory isn’t a bad thing in my eyes because it’s fun to have a good place to rewatch my favorite old shows and movies.

the movies kinda took their own route, especially in the second one. it does spoil some things but not enought that you wouldn't enjoy the books. the movies only cover the first two books, and there are five books in total.
