  • 2001: A Space Odyssey, 1968, is Stanley Kubrick’s always astonishing science fiction masterpiece. A four-act journey through mankind’s accidental quest for knowledge, this intense film features phenomenal special effects that still hold up in the 21st century. Viewers who give in to the pacing and tightness of this film will come away filled with wonder and probably a little confused. Excellent design, brilliant editing, and sound design to rival the best. Highly recommended.
We know that Thrill first saw 2001: A Space Odyssey the year it came out, when he was 16 years old. However, this journal entry was one of many that were written on loose sheets of paper and stuffed into a banker’s box labeled “Xmas Decor: fragile”. The only Christmas decoration in the box was a nativity scene made out of macaroni, felt, and glue. The baby Jesus was intact, as was his mother, but Joseph’s head was missing, if he ever had one.
