I am really enjoying your video and the tour through your ink journal. Saw a few lovely colors to try, particularly the Vinta inks. I will be checking out more of your videos.
I'm happy you like the glimpse at my ink journal! And I'm super glad you enjoyed the Vinta inks. If you want to see even more from Vinta, I'm right in the middle of swatching my entire Vinta collection and Part 2 should be up later this week. Thanks so much for watching!! 😍
Loved how you took us through your pen journey via pages in your swatch book. So cool! Think I need to redo my FP wish list…again. Ever since started watching the 8PQ tag playlist, many more pens have been added 😂 Thabks for sharing your journey with us. Funny that it started with that 1st swiped pen from your dad.
This playlist has wrought havoc on my pen and ink wishlist, too! 😅The "go-to" inks question is a killer in that regard. 🤣 Thank you so much for watching!
I bought my first pen in the early Covid days. I work in healthcare, and I would enviously watch quarantine videos here on YT, you know, people sitting home in their PJs complaining, which I would have given anything to be doing. It was Adventure Denali’s fountain pen videos that hooked me. I went crazy at first, but stopped at around 20 pens, and as you say, started to be more mindful about my purchases. Now I maybe buy one or two a year, I’m ok with spending a lot of money but I do my research and try not to buy impulsively. I too at first wanted only very fine nibs…then I was in a store one day and they had a Platinum 3776 Nice Lilas, and the only one they had left was a broad. I could not leave that store that day without that pen, so I bought it, and forced myself to use it, and it took a while, but it started to grow on me… I don’t really have a holy grail pen. I have been able to sample a lot of the higher priced luxury pens, I don’t think they write any better than most lower priced pens. Probably if I had a choose a “holy grail” it would be one of the Raden Pelikan M1000, just because they are so beautiful. I almost bought one a few years ago, when my dad was particularly generous at Christmas, but just could not justify the $2000+ price.
Most importantly, thank you so much for all you did during an incredibly horrible time. I'm so glad you were able to find this hobby to help give you a bit of comfort. I feel like Adventure Denali has pulled a lot of people into fountain pens. Her videos are just so calming and enjoyable to watch. Thank you for watching!!!
Unless you already have one, I think the Retro51 "Cat Rescue" would be a purr-fect addition to your collection. It appears to be available in both fountain pen and rollerball versions. 🐈🙂
Loved your origin story, and I'm glad you came back to the hobby, and I am sorry that you lost your dad's pen. I have a pen from my dad that got him through high school and university, and even though it currently doesn't write, it would be hard to lose it. Seeing your go-to inks is giving me a renewed appreciation for Goose Poupon, and I think I'm going to have to pull that one into my rotation again when I get a chance! I am also adding BPC antique aubergine to the list as well. So pretty!!! Also, OMG, I had never heard of that pilot vanishing point light latte, and now I'm going to try to pretend I haven't because.... WOW.
Thank you so much for watching!! And yay for Antique Aubergine! It was one of the new inks in their monthly deal bundles at the end of the year, so I was worried it wouldn't look like the swatch they featured, but I'm so glad I ended up ordering it. And light latte is apparently going to be my unicorn. I really have only seen one actual user post about it - all the rest are promo shots from the company. I just wonder who bought it and how many were made if only one Instagrammer even has photos of it.
The middle path is the way. LOL I like m-italics. I am very fine averse, and generally use them for utility, rather than pleasure. Have you taken a look at the Pilot Justus 95? That is a unique pen where you can adjust the softness of the nib. Excellent video. I like your command of the language. You have a great way of speaking.
Thank you so much for the very kind compliments! I've seen the Justus, but I had no idea about the nib. I'll definitely be looking into it now. Thanks again! 😍
I don't think I have a Grail pen. Several pricier planned purchases that will/would be nice to have, but nothing actually elusive. I'm more interested in the UEF's, EEF's, or posting points. The rest of the pen more of just a nib holder. I did get in contact with Goldspot for a tortoise Estie with a specialty grind needle point. Hoping to purchase that one later this spring.
You said the word "nebulous" a few times and that happens to be what *my* grail pen is {according to your great definition} i am longing for the Esterbrook × FWP collab of the Estie in Nebulous Plume! 🖋️❤️🧡💛💚🩵💙💜
Thank you for sharing your pen and ink journey.
I loved the way you graphically answered the 8 questions! Thank you for sharing.

Watched to the very end! Lovely response video, loved how you created spreads for each response, too. I now need to try Monteverde moonstone!
Awwww. Thank you so much!! I love Moonstone, so I'm hoping to get a few others hooked on it as well. 😍😍😍
Loved it! So glad you joined in this year 💜
Thank you so much! It's been so much fun following along again, and now being part of it adds a whole new level to the experience. 😍
I really like the way you did your swatches
Thank you so much!!

Awwwww. Thank you so much! And truly thank you for watching - I really do get pretty chatty there. 😅

Thanks so much for watching! The needlepoint seems like such a great nib. I'd love to have it and the Pilot posting nib to compare. Someday, right?

Ooooo. The Nebulous Plume is gorgeous! 🔥I hope you're able to track one down and add it to your collection at some point.
