What a generous, kind, thoughtful man. That must have been so difficult to have the use of his legs only to turn around and lose it. But rather than cry over his loss he focused on helping and becoming a blessing to others. When we stop looking inward at our problems and turn our attention to trying to help others, our problems have purpose and they aren’t such burdens. “Come unto me all ye who labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest” Matt. 11:28. I watched the video Boyd did of the football kicker who was missing an arm and a leg. He was coaching young football players-would be kickers (sorry, IDK a thing about football). The man lost his leg when a hunter shot it off by accident. He said it was one less thing he might end up having trouble with in his future. The teens all love him and he returns that love. This man is the same way. Looking outward to others in need and maybe sparking something in them to turn them into givers. To cause them to look and see if there isn’t some small way they can give back. To ease someone else’s burden. I hope it does.
