Great video, Pitty the weather turned upside down on you, just the way this summer is going to be by the looks of it, cut stuff ourselfs here in Donegal the exact same as that there 2 weeks ago, it was fertilised 9 weeks, best thing for that field would be to plough and re-sow it, fairly helps the field.
@@keithmorrison2819 I am supposed to take my jf out soon to help a mate cut whole crop silage. Hopefully I’ll get time to get it going. Be lovely to be working it again. Didn’t use since 2017
Not easy getting fodder this year. Try and level the rough part of the field and get a bit of grass seed on it, as it could probably get damaged next year. Disc or power harrow to loosen it up when it dries and pull a land leveller over it.
We took the opportunity on Wednesday too knocked it at c. 6 pm rowed it up Thursday morning and baled it after lunch as we baled the last bale the rain came but we combi baled it so it was got without rain. Second cut and a bit more than 10 bales to the acre .
Interesting video showing your farm
Thanks.
It’s impossible to get it right with this weather but get that Tedder set up it’s all over the place and lumping the grass . Good video
It’s not the Tedder. The Tedder is alright. It’s a heavy wet grass. You’d nearly want hooked tines for that kind of stuff.
Its the tedder, its wallowing all over the place, needs stabilisers adjusted!
@@johnmurray3935 he was driving too fast.
Tough one but all in and will be needed this winter. Thanks for sharing
No problem

Good man. Thanks for watching and for your comments. It’s definitely a challenging year.
Top video
Thank you
Well done keep it going
Thank you
Do you have an old single chop sitting behind where you were stacking bales? Ever use it?
I have 2 of them. A gyro and a jf1450
Will they ever see a meadow again ?

That was kinda what I was thinking myself. Thanks for your opinion Gerry.
@dronedairys7461 I still have 11 acres of bales to do yet, but it's so wet at the moment I wouldn't walk it. Tough summer
@@gerryryan2142 you’ll get it yet lad. Don’t panic is the secret.
How are you getting on with the 6480 ...is the lift ok seems a bit slow lifting ??
Lift is fine. Bales were a tight weight. The 4355 and the valtra wouldn’t lift the double bales.
Yea the 6480 is flying. I am very happy with it.
Good video pity about the weather.
Thank you

That’s the same time frame that we went on too. But between baling and wrapping we got that rain you talked about.
Very trying weather alright Alan. Were all in the same boat at least.
Don’t worry lad it will be got in the end.
It really has been some year for changing weather fingers crossed 🤞 for good weather again
Fingers crossed surely lad. Thanks for watching.
It would remind you of 1985 /1986 only better machinery best of luck its tuff
I vaguely remember them years. There was no word global warming them times and there was still bad years.
Plow it and reseed it
Roll it and reseed it
Pity the weather went against you, it's expensive enough with machinery and fert, to end up losing 14 bales, people don't see this Side of it,
But sure look, it was a chance to take. You can’t win ‘em all.
Plow it and reseed it.
