But saying that Buddhism is a branch out of Hinduism is very debatable, since Buddhism belongs to Sramanic tradition or naastika.
Yet, Hindus have no problem worshiping or venerating Buddha and bodhisattvas along with Hindu deities, regardless if Buddha was a Hindu, avatar of Vishnu or not.
