- Boy did Pastor Creflo walk in some mess this week. Just when you thought that Benny Hinn was the last of the Prosperity teachers to repent, here goes another one. Unfortunately, Benny returned back to his vomit... but Creflo? Well, let's QUICKLY put him on probation. They ALL need to sit my class though, for I've been teaching this for over a decade now

Thank you Sir Walter Jones for showing the exposure from the horses mouth himself. The biggest problem we have is being captivated by the twisting of words. All respect to Pastor Creflo. I hear and see that his message was out of humility, courage, from a true divine awakening, and biblical revelation in regards to the true meaning of tithing. Not every man with 'ears to hear' will hear.
Nevertheless, from personal testimony, when God dealt with me ten years ago regarding the compelled tithing and giving through a great Baptist Sunday School teacher that occurs within most traditional churches, the Lord opened my Spirit to his true meaning on the subject. I held on for a long time to that old personal excuse of 'well Jesus said it' in Matthew 23 (please read whole chapter for context), but after praying about it, wrestling with tradition, studying the different Old Testament 'laws', and fighting my inner demonic guilt trips, I finally stepped back to realize that Jesus said that BEFORE he sacrificed His life. Once I came upon the TRUTH, diligently 'studied to shew myself approved', and surrendered my giving unto God, I was set free.
Regardless, the tithe was still referred to by Jesus in food terms as it has ALWAYS.
Please don't miss the main New Testament message that we are 'no longer under the law, but under grace' and when Jesus said it himself that he essentially came not only to 'destroy the law, but to fulfill' (Matt. 5:17, Rom. 6:14). He did that at the cross ✝️
Overall, we are to give as the Lord leads as under GRACE, not by Old Testament Levitical tithing laws; whether that be 1% to a 1000%. Let one's heart and faith in Christ alone be their guide. God's provisions for us is not based on how much we give, but by His grace and mercy.

Very well said. There are two covenants: Old Covenant (law) and New Covenant (grace). Tithing was applicable under the old Covenant. Malachi 3:10 isn't talking to anyone under the New Covenant. This scripture has been taken out of the context of the scripture.
Believers, please study tithing for yourself. Questions to ask: Who was tithing applicable to? What did Jesus have to say about tithing? Jesus came "under the law". In other words, the law was still in effect until Jesus's death and resurrection. That is why Jesus often them to the law...remember he told the lepers to go and "show themselves to the priests". There are other instances, but study this out for yourselves.
Tithing was a created law by man 400 yrs later after Genesis. The Jews created it. It was never for the Gentiles.
Jesus came to fulfill the law in the O.T. He did in Matt, Mark, Luke and John. Jesus reminded them to not just do tithing but to remember the other laws too - but none if them coukd follow it ALL like He could.
The N.T. came into effect after the death of Christ - the law of Love is now in effect. If you love you give. Paul tells us anyone who teaches anything other let him be accursed. No, N.T. Christians today are not to tithe(10%), but the instruction is that we are to give. Give generously, give joyfully and give with a willing heart.
It is God who supplies our needs - not us! We are to get back to fully depending on Him - that is what living is all about.
You got it right my sister! The scriptures are Not of any private interpretation. Only the Holy Spirit can enlighten you of the true meaning of the text and sometimes you don't get it right away but if you're seeking you will find . The word of God is like Hidden Treasure you must search the scriptures for in them is eternal life and they testify of Jesus Christ the Messiah!

ROFLOL This is my second of your videos!!!!! I kept teachin it too!!!!! From 1988- 2008!!!! 16:00 Then I STOPPED after God revealed that He would tear down the prosperity gospel himself. So, I just sat back and watched! The Lord revealed that He would use Creflo and others to tear it down.AND COVID!
Oh my, my, my! This teaching is an eye opener. Even my 12 year old child questioned this type of giving. I posted a video on my channel about it. New subbie!!!
Thank you, I been seeing that I didn't have to tithed, even gave some the scripture, but they still didn't receive it. This was years before I had a tablet. I thank God for His word.

This is interesting. I have never bought into this tithing business. I understood we are under grace in the new testament . My grandfather told me once. If you want to hide something from a black person, put it in a book. Never could understand why people just listen to their pastors and not read for themselves. Jesus is coming back. Some of these false teachers are scared and hopefully trying to get it right.

There is a blessing in giving. Jesus talked about it and it’s true. Tithing may be Old Testament, but GIVING IS NEW TESTAMENT. And JESUS OUR SAVIOR DID TALK ABOUT IT! It’s very simple

My Daddy was a put out of Churches because of his belief about tithing. It's always been a money grab and Christianity puts God in a Box. Every pastor I've heard NEVER understood the true meaning of scripture

@tracyeneal268 it is a money scam indeed. Many years ago, I was one who would defend tithing to the max, even though I was paying them faithfully, but yet, I was still struggling to pay my bills, always falling behind, until I started studying the Holy scriptures for myself. Once I discovered the truth, I felt like I had been robbed, and God held me accountable for not searching the scriptures for myself. Growing up in the church, the preacher would beat us up every Sunday before offering time “will a man rob God”, but I never heard them go to Malachi chapter 1 or 2, because it would tell you that the prophet was talking to the nation of Israel and the priest who were stealing the tithes. Furthermore, those preachers never read those other scriptures either. The church is not the store house, there are no more Levites and there is not a national temple in Jerusalem.

This is why Seminary training (Masters of Divinity specifically) is important, understanding of hermeneutics and biblical exegesis and Greek and Hebrew and the context of scripture. This requires graduate level Seminary training. Each of us have different perspectives on the text but there should be foundational knowledge. He's going to continue to evolve until he gets a seminary education.

You've been preaching it for 10 years... I've been preaching it for 17 years... Where were you when I was trying to expose this teaching (even called World Changers to debate Creflo 2005)? I left the baptist church I was attending, returned my preaching license, left denominations altogether, shunned by the churches, lost a whole lot because I taught this... @Larry Patterson the greatest challenge as believers is forgiven people that plays games with the Messiahs name on it right? So IF someone openly says there wrong, forgiveness is there, then in time we'll see.... is the fruit good or bad. Let's see how things play out. We are under the New Covenant which is "free will giving" according to 2 Cor. 9:7. I recommend this book: SHOULD THE CHURCH TEACH TITHING? by Russell Earl Kelly.
