- Hello everyone, I forgot that I uploaded this video a few days ago. Still better late than never.
A HUGE thank you again to Fine Scale Modeler. You can check out their channel here @FineScaleModelermagazine - Развлечения
Jared, thank you for submitting your story and we hope to see another story from you in the future!
I would love to do that :)
Congrats on getting your article published. :)
I know that this title is misleading, but the actual best and I mean very best issue of FSM is April 2013. That IJN Kongo build is just amazing!
Wow. Great story and you should be very proud of this achievement. Very cool!
Been reading/collecting FSM since the mid 80's. I have an extensive collection and also bought the dvd 25 year collection. Lots of good material, fun to read even if you don't build. Look forward to each new issue, subscribed until 2028 (if I live at long).
Hello from France dear friend, you are very lucky because there are many magazines in English in model making. Unfortunately in France, they are much rarer! Regards, Stephane
Awesome! Congrats on the article. Well deserved
Congratulations Jared on your big accomplishment. I have hard copies of the magazine from 2007-2019 and was getting the e-copy until September of 2022. I have a mess of sporadic copies from when the magazine started way back when. I am looking at getting back to receiving e-copies again however I have been getting Airfix Model World via e-copy and find this to be an amazing magazine. I do order the January copy every year from a local bookstore as they have a great calendar every year. The actual hard copy of AMW is about an inch larger length wise than the FSM, I think that that's a UK thing. I strongly recommend that you give AMW a try. Again congratulations on a huge accomplishment and continue the great work on your channel.
I used to be able to get Airfix Model World here in Canada, but about 4 years ago they seemed to stop bringing in a lot of the UK based magazines, and it's been a problem for a long while now. I've been sent several AMW and they are a really great magazine, and their editor is a really nice guy :)
Sweet! Congrats!
Congrats dude!
Love All the Model Magazines...But they are GETTING EXPENSIVE..
Fewer people buying print magazines, fewer big advertisers, and greatly increased publishing costs. None are good for guys like you and I who enjoy a printed magazine.
I appreciate fsm's affordability and consistant, high quality.
When all the other mags are like 15 bucks in B&N, fsm 8.99 is a breath of fresh air
Not like certain other mags...
One of my editors said that ink prices were also to blame, appearently since covid the cost of ink has gone up. Now I don't know how true that is, it's just what they told me.
could be partially responsible, but its been this way for years. I dont want to prememptively burn bridges so I wont say which publication but I have had a gripe with one in particular which focuses on aircraft that has constiently AWFUL printing, including muted colors and off-register, super cheap paper, and sometimes even full articles with photos that are so poor they could have been taken on a phone circa 2013 in a booth with no intentional lighting: all for way less content than something good like AMW, and for between 4 and 6 dollars more an issue.
Oh Yeah!
