I had a wonderful and memorable time. I learned so much and made a lot of friends at the time. I even met my wife there. I was only there for two years do to family needs. I still have dreams of being back there, it was that memorable for me. Unfortunately the life is really only a dream too. I know so many that were let go (re-assigned) because of cuts and the move out of Brooklyn. I cried when I found out that they were selling all of the assets in Brooklyn. I felt like a big piece of me was being sold. Anyhow, my JW spiritual armor cracked a bit when my parents divorced while in the truth before I went to bethel. But a huge gash was made when two bethel elders spoke to me in private to ask that “please do not tell congregations back home what I had seen at bethel”(meaning, anything negative that would tarnish bethel’s image). When I got the news that I would go home to help my mom out, I was fine spiritually. But the little talk the bethel elders had with me rubbed me the wrong way-i mean REALLY wrong! I thought to my else, “if there is nothing to hide why ask me that?” It made me feel like it really wasn’t the house of god. That’s when I started to really doubt about the organization.
The examiner never said the word, “only”. Geoffrey Jackson, however, added the word, “only”. All Geo had to say was yes. Technically, all religions believe they are God’s spoken.
@@arlenefisher4868 I know several non denominational churches/ regular churches whom do not believe they are the chosen channel. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Jackson believes that he is a part of the faithful slave and a member of the only chosen channel approved by God-this is what they teach: that only God communicates religious truths through them and everyone else is a part of false religion and of Babylon the Great. All one has to do is simply read Watchtower’s literature and attend their meetings, and it’ll be apparent what JW’s believe. One would then clearly ascertain that Jackson does indeed view himself and his fellow governing body members’ as God’s only collective, ordained, and hand-picked spokes-people on earth today according to their interpretation of Matthew 24:45-47; Luke 12:41-45.

I agree, Geoffrey Jackson is responsible as a "governing body member" he assumes the role as a channel to their members from God. It was not "theocratic warfare" it was to protect the brand JW.
