Even though EAFC is similar with its predatory practices, they do a much better job rewarding their players for grinding the game. The rewards actually mean something and you almost always upgrade your team on a weekly basis. This game has the worst reward system that i've seen in any game, ever. The rewards we play for are NOT worth it. I got 20 wins in showdown tier 1, and I got absolutely nothing. I mean, at this point, legendary badges are on many players on the ah, but arent obtainable (I dont even count 200 showdown wins, that should at least be an option pack). Why cant we get legendary badges as a weekly reward? Would it break the game? Of course not, it would help the game because people would have something to play for. Its obscene that paying 100 dollars one time nets you 3 legendary badges, and playing the game for tens of hours doesn’t. I don’t understand why they are doing such a poor job with their game, why not make people play for SOMETHING? In my opinion, if you buy packs with 2% chances you have mental problems. But thats the only way you can get something atm, which is beyond ridiculous. Im playing against fully hof’d Wembys + Ervings in tier 1, getting 20 wins … and getting what for it exactly?? Let me upgrade my team!!! Why am I getting ruby, sapphire, amy players? I DONT CARE, they could not even be in the game and I wouldnt care. In eafc you can actually trade those players for a high chance of getting someone good. Its like an exchange that actually makes sense, not that is pointless like in 2k. They throw all this useless stuff at you and at the end of it, you realize your team improved 0% after you grinded all week. Are people of the same opinion in general? People who like this system must have not played other games. Showdown + KoTC give such little reward compared to the grind and skill needed. Oh, great, you played 20 hours and won a lot of games - heres some useless badges + 20 cards below diamond (when galaxy opals exist). Oh, and if you get something mediocre that doesn't make your team, you can't exchange it or sell it for something better. Go check out EAFC SBC's and see how that system actually rewards you by making it possible to exchange all the useless stuff you get. Effort vs Reward does NOT add up

I started the game 3 weeks ago and haven’t spent a dime, I have a full lineup of pink diamonds that compete with the meta and bench of dia’s. There is absolutely no chance I would be able to have that team on EAFC without spending money. EAFC is way worse. The grind is so much easier and rewarding on 2k, most sbcs on fifa are pathetically overpriced. And once you put that card in an sbc it’s gone you can’t even play with it.
My options were Baron Davis, Finley, Gortat, Winslow and someone else. Took Gortat as I had the others. He's meant to be pretty good for Salary. Was always too expensive and couldn't justify paying what he was going for.
Only people who are going to be running any cards from the locker code are the ones who literally just bought the game like this weekend.
