My PS5 Slim Digital comes tomorrow, be my first playstation since i had a PS4 years ago. I dont care about the disc drive, i didnt like messing with discs back in the day.
Back in the day discs broken, would scratch, and alot more issues. I think they need to go nintendo route and have a card or something. Where u pay and own it for life. Digital is fine but they need to allow us to own that game for 100 years or . Emulation needs to be easier and legal

Like Ubisoft said "We need to get comfortable not owning our games". Going digital seems like the logical step to take in that when Sony feels like it, they can take our games away and offer no refunds. Can't wait to get mine today.

Question, so i recently moved to ps5 and i have games i want from my ps4 to my ps5, i know i can data transfer the games but would the games (in this situation rainbow six siege) be free to download from ps5 store? Saves me data transeferring
I feel like it’s not anything more than the original ps5, I also feel like if u have the tv up loud or have headphones you wouldnt hear it anyways regardless. And thanks for the comment!!!
Thanks, i wasn't sure what to buy between this and the disc version, since there's only a 50$ difference in price, but your video convinced me cuz i don't really use physical discs, the only one i've used and own on ps4 is gta V, so i just went with the digital version !! i hope i don't regret it lol but thanks @@cyscoe
@@cyscoe my ps5 slim disc version is very quite, the only time it make noise is when it was reading a disc. The fans are spinning when it was both in homescreen or ingame. Is the fan broken or is it quite?
I dont really understand the hate for the slim version. I think its a great idea to have detachable disc drive, bigger storage, slimmer, lighter . Dafuq more do you want? For me its an upgrade than the old version.
It doesnt at the moment but I imagine sony is planning on bringing out 1st party panel replacements just like the original ps5. So id wait for those im sure theyll totally change the look of this console!
I have the slim and its a gamble i got silent Fans but Sony build three or four (i dont really know) different Fans some Fans are quiet some are loud i was lucky and got a quiet one
I don't buy disks since my PS4 door brought had it for 7 years and it sounded like a helicopter taking off so I traded for the PS5 digital slim and everything is quite and running great, so far not a issue except need more time to play and wait for GTA 6
@@cyscoe I got hella room on my gamers desk more room for the drive wheel and the VR going digital is great but I'm not mad at those who brought the disk drive I just felt for me it was time to advance to the next stage, I can't speak for everyone it's just preference hope your system is going good as well brother
My original PS5 got the blue light of death so I just bought the new slim and so far I'm liking it. Besides the whole disc drive needing an internet connection to use, I thought that was kind of stupid.

I dont disagree that its not the best deal, but if you dont already own a ps5 its not a bad play if you dont care about physical games. especially because this one has more base storage and you can upgrade the storage to double of the previous
It not stupid if you actually can find deal like the markdown price of OG PS5 DE or find way to help subsidize the cost. Lots of folk do that on anything especially after Christmas. Beside, everyone use case is different. Why should someone go get the disc model if they don’t want to play dvd on the ps5? Why should they get the disc model if the resale value means nothing to them (which is a penny these days unlike Nintendo games)? why should he or she get the disc model when he or she prioritize lower ownership cost and convenience? Again use case in both long term and short term. Personally it is why PS4 is still relevant heading to 2024 but the PS5 to everyone else is clearly better than PS4 and I don’t blame them.

Coming from a PS4 Don’t mind the flat disc surface and tiny pegs I like that it’s more compact compared to the PS5 and has two c types in female ports In the front of the slim 5 Looks good under my living room flatscreen setup Have it laying horizontal Heard the thermal paste by the fan, allegedly leaks after loooong hours of gaming if you orient the 5 vertical. Couldn’t risk it Rumor was out there So I copped me a low profile cooling fan system plugs in to the usb port in the back, from Amazon. Has three fans and three modes Overall, I fux with the slim 5 thus far🫡💯👌🏼
Question: Is there any valid reason to pick up the OG PS5 digital edition over the PS5 Slim digital? Because there is one available brand new and the price difference is enough. Maybe the form factor is subjective?

the vertical stand doesnt seem like a neccesity if its standing in an area it wont be touched but if its gonna move around id get the stand
