Why don't they hire actual gay actor to play those roles? I mean, everyone in this film are straight. Not one single gay person but yet, it's a gay film. Why aren't gay people speaking up on that? I think with regard to the actual craft of acting, it shouldn't matter. The sexuality of the actor is not as important as the acting ability of the person in the role. For instance take Frasier. The guy that played Bulldog ..... Gay. But he played a Hypermasculine Chick hound. LOL and convincingly. I think these two happened to capture the vulnerability of their characters perfectly. Also how do we know if they are gay or straight? I don't know that information. I guess it just doesn't matter but just because someone isn't leading a pride parade and dropping glitter everywhere they go doesn't mean they are automatically straight. Many Gay people play straight roles too so .....
Because they've chosen the actors for their skills, that are what really matters. Their sexuality isn't significant in any way, also because the character's sexuality is depicted in a very intimate way
