Great Question Jeff! The slide-out platen can be maintained similarly to how we cleaned the Auto Clam in this video with a little modifications: For cleaning, you can use a non-abrasive cloth to remove any visible dust, debris or lint, or better, you can also clear out the channel using the compressed air or an air hose you may have. Next, you can lubricate the channels and bearings using the 3-in-1 oil, sewing machine oil or any light-duty lubricant. Alternatively you can also use the synthetic Red n' Tacky grease we used for any parts that may become hot with the heat press operation, it may be easier to work into the track. Be sure to wipe any excess oil or grease after applying to ensure blank garments are safe for future applications.
Can you guys do a video on what goof proof prints look like with added effects (i.e., distressed effects)? I'm about to put in an order with added effects but I'm just not too certain how it will come out. Just food for thought since I couldn't find a video demonstrating those effects. Thanks!
That a great idea Josh! We actually have a distressed sample pack in the works that will be available soon showcasing the 5 different distressing options and how they look with a goof proof transfer- We'll definitely create a video to accompany it- Stay Tuned!
You're welcome! Always happy to help out- That Lucas Oil red grease works really great and is exactly what Hotronix uses at the factory in Pennsylvania.
My deck should arrive today!😊
Looking for best practice for cleaning and maintaining the platen slide on the fusion.
