It always ends up with something the world has never seen before, which is just super exciting. This goes for any industry as well, whether it be music, gaming, movies, sports or the technological industries. When someone breaks the rules, and it works, they innovate.

and with those scenes starting focused on the couples fighting then zooming to focus on them is almost like "yeah things may not be great, but look at us! keep your focus on newjeans". i love that with all of the videos and choreos, it always feels like a group of friends dancing and having fun and now with super shy the world is dancing with them

Having these unorthodox shots and locations made the MV fascinating to watch and very different from the rest. Many times, NewJeans gets blocked off from the camera by people in the foreground of the camera, which I have not seen before in a MV.

The instrumentals in this one are super fashion show runway like which was nice and different. Also something new I noticed from their last 3 releases of NewJeans, Super Shy, and ETA is that they're super Minji and Hyien focused. They are starting to get a lot of the main lines and parts in the song and I can appreciate that because they did feel underused in their last EP, but they're both super talented.
What I truly liked about the mv and the song is that it feels quite candid and quirky, whether it is the way it is filmed, the lyrics and the rhythm of the song. Also, I like how at the end, they don’t pose in front of the camera cause they’re super shy, so they just leave

I spent my day yesterday pretty much just going through every NewJeans song and MV several times. I came away with the genuine thought that they're basically a new revolution in kpop. A lot of groups are doing something just a little bit different to the norm right now, but NewJeans are just far and away the leaders of that. Which is odd, because they're technically a "what was old is new again" sort of group lol But everything they're doing is super fresh to current kpop, and I'm absolutely here for it.
i thought that this style of music, and the combination of those unique wide angle shots, and the kinda “quirky” overlapping actions really felt uniquely European inspired. i feel like i’d see this coming from a Eurovision pop group or solo artist. it has a very good punch of energy and the cinematography just adds to it with not always having the artists as the focus of the video. that’s such a staple in Kpop and seeing them subvert that a little was so cool!!!!
And this isn't even the main title track of the album... I'm also so in shock of how the team manages to pull off such amazing releases one after the other! I'm not really surprised by the scale tbh, their debut comprised 4 songs, with 4 MVs, 2 of which were shot in Barcelona (Spain), 1 of which had 5 VERSIONS. For their DEBUT. Ditto was a whole indie-like short film... New Jeans whole concept was really fresh and exuded spontaneity, and I feel that's also their ethos when coming up with ideas, no idea is too silly or outlandish... However they've accomplished it, it seems the atmosphere in ADOR is very conductive for creativity... at least that's the feeling I'm getting from their releases!

my theory is that the camera POV is the "super shy" person. Trying their best to record new jeans in a discrete way to make it not obvious. E.g. pretending to record the proposal, or the couple fighting in the foreground, or even recording them from the back, & all the weird angles 😂
I personally believe they are trailblazers in the industry..no company is doing it like adore newjeans they are in there own lane and super refreshing..I already see there influence in the industry, adore/MHJ are not typical and I love everything about this group and company
I think the fighting or unsuccessful couple scenes done in the middle of a bright context is in some ways humorous due to the contrast, but also it's an explanation in a way of why someone can be super shy....it's hard to get things rolling in a relationship because you can face rejection and disappointment...so being super shy is not just a cute thing, but truly hesitating because once reality hits, you can get hurt. Also, I love the line - you don't even know my name, do ya, and then this flash mob dancing but then there are people who don't appear to really notice the flash mob at all. It feels like that when you're having a crush - the world is so unaware of what is currently making your world anxiety-ridden and magical and is spinning apart from what's happening for you personally, but that doesn't deny the reality that your heart could be skipping beats and your stomach could be jumping around because you're thinking about how to ask out your crush. Loved how this was so smooth and happy a song, yet the MV added notes of brightness, humor and irony. And I looove the sets from Portugal - they were so beautiful.
Super Shy is one of my fave videos…. Until Cool With You (which both videos are just a bang out of the park amazing). But this song is a perfect chill summer bop. Plus, using Portugal is so cool. It def gives the idea that this is like World pop in a way. Everyone should be able to enjoy this song. 😻

the whole music video i was thinking how expensive it must've been to rent out all these places. in a foreign country, at that! imagine flying out the entire crew for a 3-day shoot and just taking over streets, parks, hiring a TON of dancers. that's an insane production

I've been waiting to see this breakdown from you. Been a fan of yours since your reaction to Momoland's "Boom Boom" m/v. I could totally relate to your imaging the logistical mountain needed to bring this video idea to life. Filming in another country, casting the dancers, costumes, etc. I think they did all of this is 3 days of shooting. Very impressive from the entire company and staff. ADOR does seem to have the BIG budget, but you still need the TALENT to pull it off. Can't wait to see what else they release in their soon to be released comeback. Luv me some NewJeans! ❤🐰👖

NewJeans has the kind of music where you listen to it once and almost think its way too repetitive, yet a couple minutes into it you find yourself toe tapping and head bobbing to the beat without even realizing it, because it is THAT much catchy. They have unique music choices, you dont see that often in kpop if not at all, and it feels really fresh you can't just not dance along with them, their entire team of people that make these decisions is veeeery smart, props to ADOR really!

I've been waiting to see this breakdown from you. Been a fan of yours since your reaction to Momoland's "Boom Boom" m/v. I could totally relate to your imaging the logistical mountain needed to bring this video idea to life. Filming in another country, casting the dancers, costumes, etc. I think they did all of this is 3 days of shooting. Very impressive from the entire company and staff. ADOR does seem to have the BIG budget, but you still need the TALENT to pull it off. Can't wait to see what else they release in their soon to be released comeback. Luv me some NewJeans! ❤🐰👖
There is a couple on the bench as well. The songs they sing usually do not even scratch the surface of the story or ideology they are trying to tell in their videos.

hi PD! I'd highly recommend checking out Kiss Of Life! for the best storyline experience, I'd start with the solo songs, then Bye My Neverland and then their title track Shhh! You will not regret that, they're already one of my favorite groups out there, their concept is immaculate!!

yes my friend is my home town Lisboa - Portugal. that is downtown ...I was so near can't believe it. Portugal is a great place for celebrity's because we are very respectful with artists. pd i think you'd enjoy craxy's latest release "nugudom", it came out around the same time as svt's super and has some similar insane energy to it!
NewJeans has the kind of music where you listen to it once and almost think its way too repetitive, yet a couple minutes into it you find yourself toe tapping and head bobbing to the beat without even realizing it, because it is THAT much catchy.
They have unique music choices, you dont see that often in kpop if not at all, and it feels really fresh you can't just not dance along with them, their entire team of people that make these decisions is veeeery smart, props to ADOR really!
