The Kon story is even better than that. He has a video where he explains it all. It wasn't a general weight requirement, it was specific to him. Josh gave him a weight requirement last year and he didn't make it so he didn't play. This year Josh made it even tougher and said he could play, 'as long as his weight started with 8.' Meaning 89 kg (about 190 lbs) or below. At the time he weighed i think 126 kg (277 lbs). Kon got all the way down to 86.9kg by the deadline. And the rest is history. Amazing story, really.
