During the Warsaw Uprising, Hungarian units (20,000 soldiers) offered to go to the Polish side. Nothing happened because the Germans sent the Hungarians back from Warsaw.
The reason there was a Polish flag is becoase Poland and hungary are good friends and always have their back for each other

I was there above the melee, here is exactly what happened, the England team knelt, the no kneeling banner went up, a snatch squad from the police went in to get it with batons drawn, there was no bother at all before that happened, they clubbed two people, fans went mad, end of story. They may have a history of racist behaviour, we saw none, their fans reacted to being attacked by the police

Hungarian here.BLM-kneeling is political action, and if the FIFA allowing a political action in the stadium, they must allowing the contre- reaction of that action too! This is the base of the democracy. FIFA and UEFA until 2020 never allowed political actions in the stadiums and punished that attempts hardly. But since this kneeling-case they opened the door for that, so why they wondering if some supporters or some countries are against that?
Playing here the innocent is not nice - the police attacked the hungarian/polish fans to take that anti-kneeling banner, but they faced with strong resistance, so they gave up and withdrawed.... After the police left that area nothing bad happened. That's what they wanted to grab from them, not sure if successfully.
