R.I.P.
I was very excited to learn from his interview. My condolences to you and the rest of his family and friends…
My condolences
I'm diggin his dress code. He got the "Railroad" overalls, with the fresh purple thermal, purple Lakers lid, and the purple kicks to boot. Grape Streets should be proud😎
Pharoah 1 lol 😂
Brother’s from Grape are all over the Place, when I was in the Marines Back in like 1989 The Head Cook there was From 🍇 when I saw the Tat on his fore Arm!

These guys make it sound so fun and exciting to be around in those days.
It went from kids being kids, but the guns ended all that.
In those days yes it was according to my dad who is deceased of natural causes and 1 of my uncles who is the last original day 1 West Side Crip members, also a few of my dad and uncles homeboy from back in the 60s
Texas and California have deep and historic ties.

This is a good interview, I like how you allowed him to talk.
ComplexBlackness thanks for watching
Rest in Power Brotha.
He died last week.
Word is this man had some toughness to him and he wasn't no punk.
Bird told us today that he was a real strong, tough, country brother.
Word! He’s still a solid cat. He could talk for days and you’d be all ears.,No sugar coating to look good. All facts and true history.
The Afros were the dreadlocks of the 60's. Crazy how things change
How do you see that? What do you mean? Dreadlocks were never worn during the 60’s ever in America. Jamaica or Africa or maybe even in the UK.
@tuopvm1 thank you. I didn't feel like explaining it.
@tuopvm1 Thanx for clearing that up. The Build Continues
Good interview; i guess he was referring to Bunchy Carter who was part of the Black Panther Party...
theseeker61 yes he was
Most of the People in Los Angeles came from Place’s like Houston area or New Orleans like my Grandmother & like my Dad was Born in the Houston Galveston area like Dr Khalid Muhammad they knew some of the same people! Dr Khalid has Family in Tyler,TX & My Uncle Booker Ball R.I.P. is from the same Place also Freeway Ricky Ross,Who my Uncle William lived around the corner from, behind the 110 FWY! Most of these people came to Los Angeles right after WW2! Our Family came to LA in 1952 & Faced all types of Housing Discrimination Like Black People always did! I never knew that Johnnie Cochran went to my Old School,Mount Vernon Jr High & he is Originally from New Orleans until they changed the Name Of the School a few Year’s Back Wow! Small 🌎
Ishmar Muhammad yes
I live in South Central LA and went to Edison JR High. Nothing but good memories! And went to Fremont High. The best times! Stay away if ur not from here.
All good I went to Edison JR high class of 1975 the best💪
Same here I think everyone who was in that era knew mr Adam's and skin tight the campus security guard.
Another Eastside legend, and Edison alumni👍

The 60s and the 83s did not come from the slausons on the east side the east coasts came out of that because that is now their territory
Coasts and Swans and a couple others.
Slausons territory ran into the westside also.
@@complexblackness ya but he said Compton to Main as east/west boundaries
@@p2a0p2e0r1 I talked to Bird and he said their territory included
Jesse Owen's park.
All of ETG hood and some of the 60s.
They were spread out from East to west.
Coasts ,swans ,castle crips ,hoover
He mentioned Blood Alley

MaddRonald .com Global Media yea, know it well. #Folsom
Cool interview ...crazy how they would fight with the Florence homies back in the day....
Florence used to fight the Slausons and other gangs back in the day. Other Chicanos fought black gangs back in the day. All they want to see is how good they fight.
It was different back then because there were lots of white people in Florence and Hunting Park in 1950s and early 60s. and West L.A.
I've heard his name mentioned over the years 😎
Them purple boots tough asf 💪
Talking about the Savoy skating rink✌
I never heard of Slauson Park but I know Bethune Park is on 61st and Hooper I use to play basketball in the gym up there and I grew up in the area. we all went to Miramonte Elementary then Edison Jr High. use to go swimming at Roosevelt Park indoor pool, went shopping and to the movies in Huntington Park on Pacific.. All Eastside shit...
panctyloc they changed the name. There was Slauson park on the Eastside

Alex A. Alex A. Alonso SORRY TO SAY BUT THIS IS THE 4TH Slauson TO SHOW UP 2 ON THIS STATION AND 2 ON OTHER STATION YOU AND KevMac TO GREAT WORK
I really wanna hear from a Big Slauson now.
You won't.
Clarification most of the big slausons would be around 80-82yrs old.
Jefferson High is on 41st Street..... not 68th Street..... No disrespect to old school, I know his memory may be a little off after all these years.
and Hooper big facts!!!
macc redd he meant to say Thomas Edison junior high.
I know where Jeff is I also know where Edison is
Edison Junior High School is on 65th & Hooper

STREET GANGS!
What was Edison MS like back in the day?
Them Texas blacks folks that moved to LA brought that Wild West with them..
This uncle ruccus
Naw. Uncle ruckus was a sale -out.
Alex, you ever met anyone from the Spook Hunters you can interview? I know they’re probably in their 70’s, but I see old dudes from the Slausons, Huns, Gladiators, etc. on interviews all the time.
My pops was from Watts and used to tell me stories of that gang.
Homie says he grew up on 77th street central and its in the heart of slauson village I don't think so I grew up on 74 central since 1962 never heard of it???
"YO STREETGANG!!..WHERE IS PART 2 MY BROTHER?...THIS INTERVIEW IS GOOD AS SOULFOOD!!😁HE LOOK LIKE HE USED TO SPRANG- ON A NIGGAZ & ORDERING THEM OFF THE SET"
thanks for watching.

we already did. ruclips.net/video/Ze2oAR-gS7k/видео.html
Quadruple...
I'm born and raised in slauson village on 66th and central&Hooper, one thing OG got wrong is rolling 60 and 8tray gangsta, I think he was thinking 60outlaws,then The 59east coast, sixside hustlers, 76 east coast, but great video.
no, he did not get that part wrong. By 1960 and 1961 there was the Westside Slausons, they took over Sportsman Park, where the 90 Crips are today, Algin Park where the Hoovers started, and other areas where Eight Trays and other sets are. Walter was actually on point.
@@streetgangs 👍
StreetTV , it's funny that a lot of these youngsters think that it all started with them😎
@@pharoah1200 LOL this dude
@@streetgangswow.. I didn’t know they were on the Westside. I thought he was mistaken as well… thanks for that clarity.

Maybe I misunderstood what he was trying to say but did he say that W/S 83GC & W/S R60NHC are situated within the borders of Compton Ave to the east, Main St to the west, Slauson to the north & Manchester to the south??
Not trying to laugh at dude but i’m curious to know because that geography of Los Angeles gang terrain would be way off.
No the Slausons territory stretch into what is known today as ETG etc.
in the 1950s the Slausons were primarily on the eastside, but in 1960, 1961, Slausons was holding down Sportsman Park and areas were Hoovers, Eight Trays and other westside sets are today.
