This joke gets repeated all the time, but I don't care. This episode is actually the first time we see Aang Earthbending. In the moment Katara is proposing the idea of them kissing, you can see him digging his own grave in a matter of seconds.
Poor Aang's brain short-circuited the moment Katara suggested that they kiss, which is what led to his eating his feet whenever she talked about it again.
I love how the end of Episode Cliffhanger is actually super obvious in hindsight. Like why else would they attack Appa with fireball when they attempt to fly over the montain?
I love that for all Iroh's power and wisdom, when it comes to his simple pleasures, all bets are off. Also, I totally relate to Aang with him digging himself into a hole this episode, I essentially did the same thing when I was his age. So much second-hand embarressment😂
The fact that the line he remembered later is "then died' means the full song is: Secret Tunnel! Secret Tunnel! Through the mountains! Then died! Secret, Secret, Secret Tunnel!
I once read that the creators wanted to leave it vague whether or not Aang and Katara kissed so that fans could decide for themselves. I cannot, however, find it anymore so I can't confirm this. I can however state that Katara's voice actress has gone on record saying they did, so I don't know if that's supposed to be confirmation or if this is her just personal opinion as I read the creators wanted.
2:00-Don't be so quick to judge them. 5:10-Better underground than under fire. 5:21-Firebending can kill the moon spirit turned into a fish but can't be used to catch regular fish? 7:30-Yea,you were right. They are dumb as bricks! 8:45-And from here starts Zuko's long built up to switching to the right side. 10:55-They pulled a Toph before Toph was even introduced. I bet they were using seismic sense to navigate thought the tunnel. 13:55-🤦♂️
Love your reactions, as always! Just a question, can you turn up your volume just a bit??? it feels a bit low when i'm watching on pc. Maybe its just me, but its only your videos that seem that way to me.
Something I never liked about korra is that they changed the origin of how people learned to bend. In Atlas the water bender’s learned from the moon, the earth from the badger moles etc, but in korra the other big thing (i don’t want to say bc of spoilers)
@@IAmZamber I agree with you there. I thought Paul Sun-Hyung Lee was terrific as Iroh; it was a unique portrayal, but still got the spirit of the character.

😂
Ah yes, the iconic episode that gave us the wonder that is "SECRET TUNNEL, SECRET TUNNEL".
A true bop honestly.
SECRET TUNNEL!
Two lovers forbidden from one another
This show can get very creative with how they do their world building dropping interesting lore in the most unique ways.
2:06 A Wise Man Once Said: Sometimes It's About The Journey, Not The Destination.
Poor Aang's brain short-circuited the moment Katara suggested that they kiss, which is what led to his eating his feet whenever she talked about it again.
7:10 these soldiers are not involved with Azula at all. She's not even hunting Aang right now, she's after Zuko and Iroh.
I like the fact she acknowledges that katara was the one to propose the kiss
I love how the end of Episode Cliffhanger is actually super obvious in hindsight.

Romantic Aang’s first kiss from katara in the tunnel very romantic of the cave of the two lovers ❤️
11:39 This Is How Kataang Builds Up From Hear. 😍😍
I just realized in a sense everyone who loves Avatar is going through the lovers' cave with the series by watching this episode.

SECRET TUNNEL! SECRET TUNNEL! THROUGH THE MOUNTAINS! (I forget the next couple lines but then it goes…) SECRET SECRET SECRET TUNNEL!
🎵 Through the mountains. Secret, secret, secret tunnel. SECRET TUNNEL. 🎵
The fact that the line he remembered later is "then died' means the full song is:
Secret Tunnel!
Secret Tunnel!
Through the mountains!
Then died!
Secret, Secret, Secret Tunnel!
The next episode is called ''Return to Omashu''
10:48 This Is The Original Tale Of 2 Lovers, The One You Saw In The Live Action Version Played Out Differently.
She recorded this before seeing the live action episode with the Tale of 2 Lovers

Yep. Azula got shit done. She didn’t make things easy for our team avatar. That’s for sure.
As a kid I was always confused whether Aang and Katara really kissed in that cave
I always thought it was meant to be ambiguous.
13:19 KATARA GOT AANG THINKING DIRTY! 😆😂😍
Gotta love getting lost in a cave with hippie stoners 😅😅
9:49 It's Funny Because It's Considered A Blessing And A Curse! 😂
(This better start a full comment chain)
TWO LOVERS
🎵 Forbidden from one another🎵
@@Jeremy_theGent 🎶A war divides their people🎶
And a mountain divides them apart!!!
Built a path to be together
Ahhh, yeah I forget the next couple lines
Ah yes. The absolute banger that is “secret tunnel”.
19:39 Oh No Indeed, Sokka. 😮
"I would rather kiss you than die, that's a compliment."
Iroh is the fun uncle.
🎶SECRET TUNNEL!🎶
8:55 If Running The War Counts Then Yes.
This was probably the funniest episode of avatar with Zuko's and Iroh's plot and then getting the feels on top of that at the end 👌
I just came here to say.....
SECRET TUNNEL!!! SECRET TUNNEL!
7:44 The Nomads Do Need More Help.
How did I not know this was out?!? Oh well, it was a treat to watch today!

14:09 Here, we see Aang earthbending for the first time. He's clearly digging himself a grave
Chong may be clue-challenged, but he will whip out a spare guitar in a pinch to woo the badgermoles.
Sokka's red forehead is a small price to pay.
YES! THE KATAANG START EPISODE! 😍😍
14:02 Dang Aang! What Is Wrong With You, Boy! He May Be 112 years old but that was the stupidest thing He said! 😠
off topic but i loved ur aot reaction 😂
That makes me so happy to hear!!!! :D
18:10 Mainly Cause They're Blind.

17:10 IT HAPPENED! IT DEFINITELY HAPPENED! 😍💏🌌💯
19:15 🤦♂️😂
zamber, it is not clear IF they kissed. nobody confirmed or denied that. so you´re right and you are wrong and you are neither
1:26 🐙😂
Aangara or katraang
Ship names for the elemental couple
That was on my mind recently, and I didn’t think either of them sounded fun to pronounce. 😂
KATAANG.
2:48 That Did Not Age Well.
I would disagree :) I have enjoyed his character in the live action and loved his fleshed out he was.
