It seems there is a lot of great desktop software in the ports/packages collection. It's a shame they don't have greater visibility. Maybe some kind of graphical catalogue/installer would help.
Could you make a video about hardware that is recognized by FreeBSD but you still need to enable it? In my case, I have this Genius EasyPen i405x that I cannot use in FreeBSD, and that's the only thing keeping me tied to Windows.

MIT licensing is your friend, then.
It's all auditable.

GNU has its use cases. I don't see a problem with using software released under GNU as a FreeBSD end-user.
