You're referring to Kitten Kong, of course. The episode so nice, they effectively made it twice. 🙂 As for Bill Oddie, he's had many bouts of depression over the years, and he might actually be bipolar too. And while it might not excuse some of his abrasive behaviour towards fans, it does explain it to a degree. 🤔
Remember bill from the goodies and before that in a radio program called I'm sorry I'll read that again. He was a comedian of his time and enjoyed watching and listen to him.
Before the comedy career, he also released a few records on Parlophone and Decca (followed by others) starting in 1964 with a "protest" song berating the damage/vandalism done my Mods & Rockers when they clashed in (mainly) seaside towns. This was titled; "nothing better to do". A later release and arguably his best was; " I cant get through" in which his vocals sound not unlike Gene Pitney. It had a "big sound" backing.
We had the unfortunate experience of seeing him on Tresco Channel Islands , someone approached him and he used the F off word at some one who was just being friendly to him , horrible little man
I also had an unfortunate experience with him on Euston Station a number of years ago. He bowled up to me at right angles and just shoved me out of his way. No acknowledgement that I even existed. Ignorant in the extreme. He's been Bill Odious as far as I'm concerned ever since.
How upsetting, he needs to remember its the viewing public that put him where he is. Personally I'm not keen on him at all, his voice irritates and I never thought the Goodies were funny, just 'filler'. Only my own personal opinion.
He was always the least funny goodie. Saw them all at a charity football match in the ‘70’s. Tim and Graham both stopped to give autographs to us kids after but Bill walked, or rather stomped away looking really pissed, didn’t say a word just got in his car. Miserable sod.
I recall meeting the Goodies and Oddie ( small guy! ) in Kings Lynn ,Norfoklk way way back in the early 70's... they wanted to make a show whereby excavators had taken over the world and were fighting.. my friend was head of Orenstein and Koppel at the time and they filmed in a quarry with their excavation equipment.. funny at the time but probably dated by now.... seemed a little introvert to me back then... haha...
My wife came across him at a Barrett’s show house opening in the late 70s…and has loathed ever since. Rude, arrogant offensive and generally obnoxious.
None of this lot were funny, a ridiculously unfunny rip off of python. How they even got on tv with that rubbish is beyond a joke, no pun intended. Awful !!!!
They could write comedy. Graeme Garden is a very funny radio character. Tim Brooke-Taylor was a very light-hearted chappie. Bill Oddie just like Michael Bentine: eccentrics
Bill was actually a very good comedy song writer in the late 60/70’s and actually quite a good singer Search RUclips for “Bill Oddie I can’t get through”
I never found 'The Goodies' remotely entertaining, let alone funny. Silent movie style slapstick mingled with forced zany childish antics simply leave me with a mixture of cringe and embarrassment, much like watching circus clowns. Don't even get me started on overtly contrived 'look at me I'm a jolly little chap' Bill Noddy.🥱🤮 Jus' sayin'
I remember in 70s as kid, kids and adults loved The Goodies. They were one of the top shows. And the cat sketch is a classic. 😂😂😂

Bill was born in ROCK-DALE, near where Fred Flintstone lived.
Hey .... Rokdale .... gotta get me down there n check it out sometime ! Bloody idiots ....
If it wasn't for Bill , i would never of took up the Martial Art of "Ecky Thump"
Or met black pudding bertha!!
@@petejones879you mean “the queen of Rock and Roll”
The Goodies also voiced the series “Banana Man”

Telling silly people who approach unasked to fuck off seems pretty normal to me

"Bill Oddie's alive and well!
Well, he's alive."
bill has made me laught since the goodies what a funny show and i stll feed the birds thank you bill you should be nighted
“Rotschdale”, not Rockdale, FYI.
It’s actually Rochdale lol
And his name is Oddie, not Aahdy

In 1949 Greater Manchester did not exist it came into being in 1974 mores the pitty Rochdale is in Lancashire and always has been.
Still is as long far as I am concerned
He was and never will be one
Many years ago i served him in London, he was very rude and arrogant. Wouldn't take his change and told me " you need it more than I do".
yeah somewhat of as TW *t as I seem to recall GG& TBT were not. there it is.
Sounds more like you're arrogant than he is.
Black Pudding Bertha is still in my daily Playlist , 'E' by Gum

I remember him in a comic radio show called At last the 1948 show
Get your facts right Bill was in “I’m sorry I’ll read that again”
“At last the 1948 show” was never on the radio it was a TV show
The late Tim Brooke-Taylor was the main Goodie in that, actually, with Bill appearing in smaller roles. 😉
Where exactly is Rockdale 🤔
Just brilliant ,they do notget😢. That goooody these days
Make me laugh Rochdale how he says it just makes me laugh
Lithium is a pure element and is prescribed for very deep depression.
Well it went on for 10 years so thay got something right how about you
He never was a comedian ?
My wife came across him at a Barrett’s show house opening in the late 70s…and has loathed ever since. Rude, arrogant offensive and generally obnoxious.
The goodies were sort of funny as a trio, but individually they were about as funny as a dose of the pox.
to be fair he never was
Was he EVER a comedian.
A I
🤔 No, he is a real person. An American citizen, say no more !!..

3 proper pricks.
I found the Goodies hard to laugh at, mediocre stuff.
Quite liked Bill on Springwatch etc but obviously clashed with Kate notsohumble.
He was crap in the goodies, he was crap in wildlife programs basically he was a crap all rounder.
well said
He got kicked off the TV because he wouldn't go woke.
Never was one.
You obviously don’t know much about Comedy do you, must be a fan of Birds of the Feather
I think that says more about you than it does about Bill Oddie.
I’m now off to take my oyster for walkies
Luvvie lunacy never did equate to great comedy,@@CricketEngland
Sounds like you belong in a similar mental institution to Oddie.@@highdownmartin
