An animatic idea I've had stuck in my head for some time now and I finally have the resources to make it.
Shadow follows an apparition of his friend Maria, who passed years ago.

shadow is consistently so tragic and it hurts. i dont care how many times he is memed half to death he will always be famous

I honestly hope the movie goes for a bit of a more serious tone than the last two, not saying that the humor wouldn’t be good, it’s just that it’s Shadow’s backstory we’re dealing with, and it’s a serious topic of loss.
I’m also praying that nobody cheers when Maria dies in the movie, because its not just Sonic fans going to the theatres, its families with children who love the franchise.

Stone tape theory is something I regularly experience due to the fact the traumatic event happened in my home. Any abnormal noise = me waking up completely to check up on everything.
It's been better now with more coping mechanisms from therapy, but every detail is burned into my mind, including the exact time every bit happened. Highly abnormal for me since I usually have to set five alarms to remind me of a doctor's appointment at 4pm.
Enjoy my little rant though and remember that if you're experiencing something similar, you can get through it. It's okay to not feel normal after, it's okay to feel like the world should stop so that you can catch your breath for a moment. It's okay to feel angry at the event for happening. Give yourself grace and kindness while you're dealing with the aftermath and triggers. I promise this part is mostly temporary.
The animation is very beautiful and sad that Shadow is alone 😢

The initial subtle changes in Shadow's expressions at the start were already powerful but you CANNOT just hit someone with Rev's "Error" at the end. I signed up for light Emotional Damage not COMPLETE CATASTROPHIC EMOTIONAL MAIMING. Put a warning label on this tin, like holy cow.
I just landed in an onion field!!! 😭😭😭 Words can't describe the emotion and beauty of this animation.

so i saw this video...made me remember someone bery especial in my life and remembering that Shadow has also lost someone...made me cry more...and the liryc's hit hard with this animation... it hits me harder than any bullet that i can get...if something close to this could appear in the movie I'll cry as soon as the music plays

W animatic, w art, very emotional, I approve of this. It perfectly captures Shadow’s hurt and trauma on the ARK and the events that have happened, as well as him missing Maria. The music is just adding to everything. The fact everything was done with only expressions and no actual dialogue makes it better. This is an amazing animatic. Keep it up!
