I did this to an 05 Cummins once, filled it up the next day and while I was sitting in traffic a stupid mf hit me from behind completely destroyed my meticulous truck. I had it all done boys. Trans built, the engine was perfect with tons of mods, I think about it almost everyday, seriously broke my heart because of all the hard work.
There are so many people making these blocks of metal aka "sumps" I dont think it is necessary to pay top dollar for it when there are plenty that work exactly the same at about $30. When I was a noob I bought a Fleece one, but the next couple dozen trucks got amazon specials. Just make sure you use black rtv. PDD has its things, but this is not what I would put my hard earned money on. The 165 or fass equivalent is a must in my book. Especially if you want to run black diesel. Not trying to be rude, but I guess I am. Anyways keep posting most people are not willing to spread knowledge. Shame no one has done a fuel mapping vid on efi live or HP tuners. Typing all those values one by one is a real pita... There has to be an easier way.
Each style of sump has certain positives and negatives. In this application certain ones wouldn't work. I've installed plenty of cheap ones but my 2 thoughts. #1 they can be restrictive on big power setups, #2 I tend to spend money with companies that actually promote or sponsor diesel community events

@@BentonL wasn't meant to be a low blow, no one will make a video about tuning for free, that's just what has been stated by tuners. For starters the upfront cost is more expensive than most think for back end work to add features to the files and you are talking about an extremely limited amount of extremely gifted computer guys in the country that can find them, then you have the criminal implications of hard proof of showing how to defeat emissions controls. Love it!! Myer has a nice shop!! I went with a 5g cause the channel. I love it my only complaint is I have amp power steps and the bracket wasn’t too friendly with them but I got it to work!! lol
Awesome video as always💙 I just ordered an "airdog 5g 165" for my 04 after the factory lift pump on the filter housing died again.. I've been wanting to get rid of that horrible factory pump just didn't have the money to dump on a good lift pump but I finally got an excuse 😂 I also ordered the PDD sump, I literally ordered it two days ago haha seems like fate that you make a video with those exact parts haha💙💙💙I put the titan tank on my 04 last year. It has been so nice for long trips for work😊 I feel like I can go anywhere and not worry about fuel😂💙
Same here team Airdog Ive never had a problem with it running my common rail swapped 1G and customer service is good. I tried Fass once i got one with the pump super loud, i tried calling customer service never got an answer. I guess they don’t have anyone to take calls.
I usually run a gauge in the cab for performance stuff on my dually it's just on the pump it self. The Stroker pumps can have surge and idle issues with higher pressures due to the amount the pump is returning at low volume plus the extra lift pump pressure
Noticed in a previous video you mentioned the harsh ride of the dually. Seen you have the factory air ride that have completely different leaf packs than a non air ride dually. Could that ride rougher than a non air ride or vise versa?
By spring this thing will be 48 swapped with a FMVB lol.
Nah that I can promise
@ 9:55. "I'll be Amish with you guys?" cracking me the hell up
KOS 2021 we had a couple ex Amish pit crew guys they kept saying I'll be Amish with you guys and it's been a joke for Myer and I forever
Little man's R&D project on the tool box is awesome!
He was having a blast with uncle Myer
Loving these new videos!
Thanks for watching man!
Hell Yeah Brother 🇺🇸🦅
I follow your lead installed my airdog 220 on my 2018 2 years ago no issues
They are definitely my favorite!

That had to have sucked! I hope insurance tried to make you whole
“I have the worst water separator location.” 13-18 Cummins. “Hold my beer!” 6.4 Powerstroke.
Ok fair point 😂
Same combo on my 01' and I love it

No ones going to make a free video on tuning. Too much time and money spent and without context can lead many novices to major failures

@horsetorquesdiesel Jake from Fass won’t approve lol how is that built up 68 shifting? Did y’all put factory frictions or gpz?
Very cool stuff!!!! Keep it up!
Thanks man!

A solid purchase!
my 6.0 is maxing out the draw straw on 155s so a sump is next thanks
No problem

Airdog for the win
Can you explain why the 10 and 12 mm stroker pumps require lower psi? And how are you monitoring lift pump pressure?
I usually run a gauge in the cab for performance stuff on my dually it's just on the pump it self. The Stroker pumps can have surge and idle issues with higher pressures due to the amount the pump is returning at low volume plus the extra lift pump pressure
What was the message on the dash about “full exhaust brake on” never seen that before. How do I enable it? 😂
The trucks have 3 modes
Off
Full ( off throttle brake on)
Auto (brake pedal depressed brake on)
👍🏼
Will a AirDog 100 handle 50 hp sticks ?
Yes that would be about as far as I'd personally run it
Thanks

It's usually the front end so we will tackle that shortly!
How do you check for fuel pressure? I recently purchased an air dog and installed it on my 5.9
They have a port on the pump just thread a gauge in and you are golden
Is a 165 fine for a stock 06 5.9 Cummins?? That may get some mild tunes in the future??
Yes sir!
Why not foss?
I made the switch many years ago and have been happy with Airdogs performance, customer service, and tech support ever since!
Not a fan of airdog I would do fass but that’s me
That's why there are options, everyone has a preference
Agreed that’s why I said but that’s me keep it up 👍
