I see many years have gone by since anybody has commented,This is the exact inspiration that all young harmonica players need right now!! I see a lot of new guitarists, but not many harmonica players..Thank you, Mr Branch! 🎼🌎✌️🔀🎶
Hey Billy...always have liked your sound ! I have gone for the Butterfield fuzzy distortion...some crazy set-ups. My current rig is a VHT Special 6, unmodded except for tube subs: RCA 5751 3-mica and Tung/Sol 5881. For a mic, I use a cheap home karaoke machine plastic mic with a 1/4" cheater cordstick mic. I turn the tone down for Chicago, or set at 12:00 for Butterfield. Sometimes I use a Roland Micro for a modeling, especially delay and/or chorus. Thanks, Billy!
Billy's advice here is excellent! He will often choose a particular mic based on the room or situation. Check out the youtube: "Billy Branch at Rosa's place in Chicago, Oct 30.-09" - shows him using another mic he likes - his Ultimate 545 from BlowsMeAway Productions.
The newer TC Electronic Sub’N’Up tracks the harp much better than the Boss OC’s...and they’re less expensive. Just sayin’. I almost bought the Boss until I tried the SNUp...
