So many questions, the slew on the dipper is hydraulic but by cable, why? Where does the coolant go? It's so long reach, is it just for ditching? How is it so beautiful but ugly at the same time?
Keep in mind, this is europe's first hydraulic excavator. And one of the first ones in the world... So the solutions aren't always so modern.. I think they have received more turning radius for the dipper with the cable solution. Coolant goes into the radiator. And yeah they were mainly used for ditching but basically other digging works as well.
