I'm a 40 y/o father of three that is now FURIOUS we haven't gotten a live-action team up of Stay Puft and Slimer helping the Ghostbusters like some sort of ectoplasmic Master Blaster. PLEASE let this be something we see at some point in the future.
YES I 100% agree they should have added in Stay Puft and Slimer as friends to the Ghostbusters in the live action films like with the cartoon. Stay Puft is awesome, I now have a large plush of him that I sleep with every night
or "Mother Of Pus bucket" or "HEY! NOBODY STEPS ON A CHURCH IN MY TOWN!" lmao iv seen Ghostbusters so many times in a row i can memorize all the phrases in the movie 🤣
@@manbob15 Stay Puft's presence in the series does raise questions. The theory goes: after Gozer was defeated, the marshmallow-ectoplasm that became the Spectral Ghostbusters in "Citizen Ghost" reformed into Gozer's destructor form while in the ECU. In his first release in "Cry Uncle" he was still evil. Peter's remark in this episode: "He's all better now, we think" implies that time has changed his demeanor since Gozer is no longer in our dimension.
It was common in those days for companies like DIC to outsource their animation production to Japanese companies, especially ones like TMS Entertainment and Toei Animation.
Okay definitely a HUGE plothole here. The Marshmallow Man was GOZER. And they defeated him by sending him back to his previous location. They didn't trap him or put him in a containment unit *if anything the original was destroyed earlier that day when Mr. Dickless had it turned off*
This is going off the opening credits where Stay Puft is with the other ghosts that all get trapped at the end. So I wonder if the presence of the ghostly duplicates in Citizen Ghost had something to do with his reforming, since they were made from all the ectoplasm from the encounters with him and Gozer.
@@walker1984actually they did. In the episode "citizen ghost" they talk about the aftermath of gozer. Peter also says this when they see slimer befor making him there alley "it's him it's the one that slimed me at the hotel"
@@codymanthey5694 Also the same episode directly connected the movie with the animated series, especially during the flashback when the ghostbusters returned to the ruins of the Firehouse, all covered in marshmallow.
not trying to be a nitpick but it made no sense to me that Stay Puft was ever considered the good guy since it's Gozer The Gozarian as in Ghostbusters 1984 Gozer took the form of Ray's childhood mascot Mr. Stay Puft as the destroyer so basically when they did this there basically saying Gozer is the good guy (or it since Gozer has no gender as it's true form is just a giant worm check the ghostbusters spirits guide book as it shows it's true form as a sloar) again not nitpicking or anything as i have grown up with this series but it just never made sense to me now
My childhood right here
Never thought I'd get to see it again
I found it today on MeTV Toons.
Stay Puft Marshmallow Man is my favorite character and I like it when he's an ally for the Ghostbusters.
Let's see how he is in Ghostbuser Legacy.
I literally like it when rowan is here i just have to imagine
Me too
I cosplay as him.
Their weapon of last resort besides crossing the streams.

This is my favorite episode because this reminds me of King Kong vs Godzilla.
Stay puft is so cute when he’s tiny and big
3:16 Stay Puft punch 👊
Come On Stay Puft Marshmallow Man!
I love Mr. Stay Puft.
I was 10 when I watched this I love these old cartoons!!
I forgot about the time Garfield, Fred, and Inspector Gadget teamed up to fight ghosts.
Mash mellow man is awesome 😎👍❤️
5:20 CRASH THE STAY PUFF MARSHMALLOW MAN
5:22 looks like he was all toasted
I didn’t remember stine writing about a giant preying mantis
Well that’s a Shocker on Shock Street 😂
He also wrote the Ghostbusters II Storybook under the pen name Jovial Bob Stine.
Gozer really changed his tune after the Ghostbusters crossed the streams. Yeah I called Stay Puft Gozer, mainly because that was his/her final form.
When was that said? Gozer is a god, and she created stay puff from Ray’s thoughts… show me where it’s ever said Gozer IS staypuff?

Look at that happy face, how can you be mad at that?!
When did we get a Ghostbusters anime?
It was common in those days for companies like DIC to outsource their animation production to Japanese companies, especially ones like TMS Entertainment and Toei Animation.
Looks Like Anime.
Wow
This is amazing 🥰🥰
J. Michael Straczynski and his fellow writers were on the good shit when they wrote this show. Not that I'm complaining.
Nice video

Gozer created stay puff, gozer isnt stay puff.

Yeah I always figured it was something like Gozer abandoning this form in the afterlife and then the Ghostbusters rehabilitating it with "Mood Slime"
I Thought That Was Funny How Angry Stay Puft Got With Muray The Mantis When He Attacked Him. 3:10
But also this is why that Murray the mantis can't usually fly without it's wings
Dude I just saw the marshmallow mans hat say stay put it’s weird
Is this show canon to the movies. I like to think they are
Nope. They've made no in movie reference to the cartoon. I can't think of a movie that really has
