    He's such a good teacher
    So many shredders just play it without giving a detailed breakdown of the required technique
    Seriously, never learnt so much in such a short space of time

    So what does adding a C# to the A minor chord do? other then be an extra note? I am going to start practicing this but I know there is no C# in the A minor (C Major) scale.

    sweep picking sounds like shit on the neck pickup. the neck is rhythm, bridge is lead. it's not that difficult.

    • @HandOfYtar
      @HandOfYtar 9 лет назад +8

      brntgrbl I know you cannot be serious about that can you? If you were a real guitar player as myself, you would not have said anything remotely close as to what you did. Do you even dynamics bro? A much fuller and richer and very much cleaner tone bro? :)

    • @HandOfYtar
      @HandOfYtar 9 лет назад +4

      brntgrbl Nevermind, i can see as to why you would say something of that nature, you at least tried to play The Rain Song (Try learning some Loomis Or Becker), but your 12 string was very out of tune, but who am I to judge...Practice makes perfect, so practice. And use the neck pickup ffs. It is there for a reason :) Lmao "Lead is for the bridge pickup only" My god that was hysterical.

    • @deadasfak

      brntgrbl It's just a matter of taste

    • @Burnt_Gerbil

      deadasfak Yeah it is and I prefer a brighter sound for lead stuff. To me the neck pickup sounds too muffled for sweeps.

      bro it's just pure envy mixed with self hatred, i think every musician has these traits in some form or another BUT there should also be courage and self honesty to admit to yourself that you are a bad guitar player because you're lacking passion or devotion or something else to be as great as the GREATS are, haters don't have those positive traits so they just pathetic people and I feel bad for them.

    He's right, the finger roll is the hardest part but it's essential. Listen to the man. Work at it. If I could do it ANYBODY can do it. But as Michael says, it's going to take a lot of repetition. Boring? You're in the wrong business. Nothing is boring if you are learning what you want to learn.

    For the major arpeggios just use your middle finger (so you only have to roll your finger once not twice) and tune up the b string a half step

      Sweep picking is one of the hardest things to grasp as it’s very technical and has tons of moving parts. What I will say is this, it requires an immense amount of practice. I’m currently on day 30 of practicing this one arpeggio and can finally mute the string and sweep it slowly. I literally had to practice it slow every day before you finally start to understand how it works. I don’t think I’ve ever practiced a technique as long as this one. So the best piece of advice I can give you is don’t expect to get this in a months time. I’m on a month of constant practice and can do it fairly ok. Run Batios technique slow and get your picking and palm muting first. Then work on speeding it up. Hope this helps
