This was good news in railway preservation. Now i have a local steam engine running! Pretty sure the only steamer operating in NJ because of 60 being out for her 1472.
@PereMarquette1223 Some of the shots where the audio doesn't match are where 9 wasn't working as hard, or were nearly coasting as can be seen by the lazy exhaust so she wasn't barking as hard. In other cases where she was working harder, you'll notice the exhaust is much whiter and puffier. 9 is a Saturated Engine, and they're trying to find the sweet spot for where to carry the water. They were nailing the throttle pretty hard in some areas, and when she primes it makes the exhaust sound mushy instead of a sharp bark and the whistle sounds wet.

Susquehanna 142 rebuild looks to be close to done, so hopefully it runs next year.
@DynamoProductions-trains yes that's good too
Thank you so much for posting this. Makes me want to come back home. My family has a lot of history on this line.

ITS A BEAUTY
Sure, can't wait to see what Woodstown Central will do with 9 now that she's running again.
Intersting that the air brake pumps are in the front, makes the uniqe smoke box door and look on this locomotive.
Noticed a couple areas where audio didn’t match the scene… having technical difficulties?
The lighting was better on Sunday, but audio from Saturday shots worked better
@ in what way? Less wind noise?
It was a lot more to do with the lighting being hit or miss on Saturday, so the visual wasn’t useful, but the audio was

Sure would appreciate for one day to see #9 at the Woodstown Central Railroad. Even when it’s operating too.
