Chris I seriously need to make a trip over to the east coast, it's rare I get chance to get out on my Jackson Kraken over here on the Fylde coast as it always to rough, but at least I can watch your videos for my kayak fishing fix lol.
Its been the same here Matthew, I’ve only managed to get out three times in the last 8 weeks and I’m self employed so can go whenever I like! Glad the vids are filling the gap for you though 👍🎣
Love the new setup Chris, certainly makes light work of distance. Some lovely fish, then that rodbender doh! We've all been there.... Excellent video, plenty fish, and that nice one to meet up with some chips at home.
Cracking watch as ever...absolutely love your kit i got a cheap all or nothing elec motor for my yak it's only been out on a lake and I've got a cheap small lead acid leisure battery 70ah but its nice not to be knackered when you get to your fishing spot isn't it... Tight lines fella. 🎣 All the best.
Great session Chris, impressed with the motor makes life easier, best thing with them mobility kayaks is you can park them anywhere LOL cheers for the video always look forward to them.👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣
I'm new to fishing and came across your channel, loving the content. I bought a spinning rod and want to lure fish have you got any new to fishing videos planned?
Hi mate, glad you’re enjoying the channel. Funny you should ask…I’m doing a film on exactly that in about 6 weeks time when the season is properly under way. Im taking two people who’ve never been fishing before and I’m gonna be teaching them how to rig up, cast and lure fish for mackerel and pollack. So there you go, keep your eyes peeled for that one. Tight lines buddy 👍🎣🎣
Thanks Daniel, Windy is the app I use. By far the best in my opinion. It uses all the different forecast models plus tides, current, current direction, wind waves, tide height swell height solunar forecast, pollen radiation etc etc etc etc 👍🎣
Hi chris another brilliant video with lot's of helpfull info and advice just been watching a video that somebody did wth a drone over beadnell i know thats one of your favorite launch sites would i be right that their seems to be a launching point from near the car park thats by the back of the holiday caravan site. Also do you know when you might do a video on your garmin fish finder. Lastly wich do you think is better c maps or navionics cheers mate.
Thanks David, yes it’s a dead easy launch from the carpark at Beadnell. On the hook reveal 5 C-Maps and Navionics are much of a muchness as neither can do relief shading on the 5. I’ve got navionics on my phone and C Maps on the finder. Hope that helps 👍🎣
Hi Justin, I’ve kind of been reviewing it as I’ve gone along. To be honest the only real difference between the supernova and the sturgeon is the size and weight. Both very stable indeed. Both pedal/flipper drive and both do well with a motor on. The supernova is bigger (width and height) and therefore heavier and harder to car top…and that’s about it! There’s an unboxing on the channel which might help you decide as well. Hope that helps 👍🎣
Thank you Chris for another excellent entertaining video is there really anything better off the north east coast than a "very spirited codling" ? Shame about the big one you lost but that's fishing Steve
Many thanks for that chris had a quick look at google maps their seems to be 2 or3 holiday sites right on top of the launch point do you know what t he one called where you have holiday site on one side and the carpark on the other i want to try to organise a trip up their so any tips or advice would be welcome cheers buddy and tight lines
Hi pal I’m looking at getting a dry suit for the kayak fishing I use a wet suit at the moment but it’s to cold, can you give me a little advice, on weather I should get a one piece or a two piece.
I would get a one piece personally but whatever you buy make sure it has a pee zip! It absolutely must have a pee zip!! 🤣 I’ve never used a two piece myself but my understanding is they’re not 100% watertight if you end up in the water for any period of time. 🎣
Cheers Tony, get about 4-5 mph which is the most you can expect from a trolling motor realistically speaking. I use a 100ah LiFePO4 battery and I’ve never had it below 40% yet and that’s 6/7 hours on the water 👍🎣
Hi mate, this Saturday the high tide at Beadnell is approximately 11am.Which way will the tide flow/drift take you when it turns and starts to go out ? north or south
Hi mate, on the east coast the tide will go north on the ebb and south on the flood. (Opposite on the west coast) Depending on the venue the tidal flow and slack water etc don’t necessarily coincide with high/low water. At Beadnell there’s usually more than an hour delay before slack water and the tide turning. The forecast for this Saturday isn’t great mind, the wind might be okay but there’s a canny residual swell/surf on. I’d keep an eye on that 👍🎣
I like them both Carlos but I think I prefer the pedals, I find them easier than the flipper drive. In an ideal world I’d like the pedals on the Sturgeon! 😊👍
Hi mate, I’ve got an Ultramax BluTooth 100ah LiFePo4. It’s overkill but it means I can go away for a few days at a time and still use the motor. I’ve used around 20% each time I’ve been out with this one and when I use the bigger propel (54lb) I use about 40% 👍🎣
Another great video thanks
Thanks Jack, you’ve watched a canny few this week! 👍🎣

Cannot believe this channel hasn't hit the big time yet, very entertaining
Thanks very much Mark, I’m glad you’re enjoying the content 👍🎣
We all swore with you.
I was vexed!🤣There’s plenty more fish in the sea….so they say. 👍🎣
Great entertainment Chris, always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thanks!
Thanks very much Rob, I’m glad you’re enjoying the content 👍🎣
Another informative and entertaining vid
Thanks Stuart 👍🎣
Mate, another great video!! Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Thanks very much Alan, glad you enjoyed it 👍🎣
Yet another gread video Chris, always look forward to them, and such a relaxing session for you too !
Thanks Andy, I was actually cold at one point! That’s a first 🤣
Another excellent entertaining video Chris, keep them coming good Sir.
Thanks very much Phil, tight lines matey 👍🎣

Thanks Mike 👍🎣
Great video with some nice fish.
Thanks very much Simon, tight lines mate 👍🎣

I’ve had a few long range releases recently! 🤣 All part and parcel though. Yeah, I’ve grown very fond of the motor very quickly! 🎣
First one I have seen you keep
Aye there was no coming back for that lad unfortunately. Tasty mind 😊🎣

Cheers Glen, I think I’m a fully fledged badge holder now! Going to get a motor on the Sturgeon as well I think. Tight lines mate 👍
Championnnnnnn first eh 🎣
A return to form 👏👏👏
That weather change at the start, hope you have a compass.
GPS with C-Maps on the sounder, Navionics on the phone, compass in the box so all bases covered 👍🎣
Your laugh is the best thing. Don't stop laughing.
Thanks for that 😊 you’d be amazed how many people it annoys! 🤣🎣
great session, the motor seems a great choice ... expensive but nice.
I’m a lazy motorised kayaker now! 100% a convert. I do like it 😁🎣

Any news on a video on fish finder installation?
I honestly thought I’d put the installation in the vid before this one Dermot…let me just check because I filmed it weeks ago! 🤣
im up portpatrick from 16th for a week shore fishing might see you bobbing about
You never know! I’m keeping one eye on work and the other on the weather 👍🎣

what fishfinder are you úsing and is the transducer side mounted or under the kayak, thanks for great videos
Hiya, my transducer is mounted in the transducer compartment underneath the kayak and the fish finder is a Lowrance Hook 5 Reveal. Tight lines 👍
@@onthedropfishing thanks for your rapid answer

Steve
My pleasure thank you very much. Everyone loves a spirited codling 😁
And yes I’ve had a few long range releases lately! 🤣
Hi Chris, great video. can I ask what lure/eel you were using. Thanks Dermot
Hi Dermot, reel is a Mitchell MX2 and the lures were 25g fiiish black minnows and the metal was a 40g Razor Claw 👍🎣

Great video! Will you make a Supernova and sturgeon comparison? 🤞
Thank you, I might well do that 👍🎣
Hi Chris. Loving your videos. Sorry if you've been asked this before but what suit is it you wear? Scott
Hi Scott, glad you’re enjoying the content. It’s a Typhoon PS330 Extreme. Not cheap but absolutely worth it if it saves your life 👍🎣

Hi Chris, the new kayak looks great! can you tell me the name of the battery you got? Didn’t quite catch it on the video, thanks.
Hi Iain, it’s an Ultramax 100ah LiFePo4. It’s the Bluetooth version - worth paying the little bit more for the Bluetooth in my opinion 👍🎣
Chris, what gopro do you use please mate ?
Hi Wayne, in this one I’m using the 9 👍
I've never seen so many codline where do you fish haha
This was at Beadnell, I had to leave some of them out or the vid would’ve been an hour long. It’s great fishing in the summer up this way 👍🎣
I have to give it a go some time I just got sib and live in Manchester so abit far but could make weekend out of it thanks for the info mate 👍
👏👏👍👍
Cheers mate 🎣
Great vid as usual. What shoes do you use?
Thanks very much, they’re just cheap waterproof shoes from Tesco, I’ve tried loads and these are the best 🤣 they’ve lasted 18 months so far! 👍🎣
@@onthedropfishing awesome. Thanks. I use wetsuit shoes at present but was looking for something more substantial that isn’t £400!
They’re spot on, I’ve used wading boots, wetsuit boots the lot!

Nice one Kurt, what did you get?
@@onthedropfishing just a cheap Cruz to do the job.
Do you make up your spray or is it available to buy?
It’s just cheap stuff from GoOutdoors Pete, sticky baits spray it’s called. I’m not sure it really makes a difference to be honest 🤣🎣
Did you encounter any problems with the motor
I didn’t have any problems personally but I know a lad who did which I why I believe Galaxy took it off sale to get the 54lb version redesigned 👍🎣
