    One minor correction.
    1)The gastric ulcer on the lesser curvature is due to firm attachment of mucosa to muscularis externa
    2)the oblique layer is absent here

    Why is gastric ulcer more common for o+ve blood group???

    • @medman3174
      @medman3174 4 года назад +14

      Actually,no definite cause has been formulated yet,but some strange correlations have indeed been researched and chalked out :
      1) O group people might be producing more hydrochloric acid in their stomach
      2)The reason might be due to increased gastric secretory cell mass
      3)Increased colonisation of Gastric cells by Helicobacter pylori,again due to increased gastric cell mass
      4)Serum pepsinogen amount found more in blood due to ,again increased gastric cell mass
      But how is the gastric cell concentration related to the absence of a or b antigen or presence of the anti a and anti b antibodies in the blood ?
      That probably has not been chalked out yet,research is still going on....
      Hope this helped !!
