Ok so…I’m a 24 year old autistic woman, and I…Struggle to be an adult. I struggle to be independent, be competent, i don’t have much responsibility’s or stressful things to worry about, i was…Sheltered…growing up. I never got a job, never got a license or a car, never dated anyone, heck…i technically never graduated school. I was taken from public school and moved to homeschool, due to stressful situations that I can’t get into right now. I also never went to college. As for why I struggle in school, it’s because I was severely dyslexic. I could barely read, barely do math, and barely write. (I feel your pain Gen alpha: me, a Gen Z person) I…don’t know where I’ll be in life, I don’t know if I’ll ever get married or get a job suitable for me. But…I’m still growing and learning, and I’m much better now than how I was 10 years ago. I can read and spell just fine now (tho I still struggle with dyslexia) I can take a shower now on my own (I used to only take baths) I can do small tasks like getting my medicine to take for the night, and I can make my own toast for breakfast. Of course, this is only the beginning, I’m still learning and growing to become the woman i want to be. I don’t know if I’ll have the same level of independence as…say, a leader. But I’m still gonna try my best. I want to have agency, i want to have some level of independence, I wanna be able to handle myself. But i know, because of my mental handicaps, i still need help, i still need support. And…that’s ok. We are Social creatures, we’re not meant to live on our own, like the saying goes…”It takes a village” teamwork makes the dream work. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you feel like you need it. I know I won’t be able to live by myself, but that’s ok, I don’t mind living with others. I’m happy with my family (tho I still get lonely sometimes, because I don’t have many friends IRL) and i know my family is happy to support me regardless of my mental challenges.

I’m glad you made this video because I can relate to it too being not the target audience.
As a girl, (shocking) Peter Pan syndrome extends to women too, avoiding responsibilities like wanting “a man who ____” or being just as emotionally childish. Whatever gender or person we be we all want to take care of ourselves and our loved ones

0:32 I completely agree. This sort of thing is a big topic to deal with when you have to eventually become an adult. Time feels like it's running out and it is. Opportunities pass by and so many things you need to let go. When you're a child you have extreme themes of grandeur you see in your future, but when you're a adult, all you're left with is a gray world telling you to grow up. The potential you expected isn't there. The things you could've done stay like that. Could've. And this is a big part of life, ad the only thing you can do about it is power through. Cruel, yes, but when you have no other option, trying to make things better doesn't seem like a worse option than staying in your couch, seeing your childhood dreams wither and wilt away like a dog abandoned by its owner.

    Life has become too comfortable.
Ask the "young men" in third world countries how life is.
They dont get to stay young.
For the civilized world growing up is a choice now. Some never do.
    It is what it is.

This video was a hard one to watch… because I know it entirely to be true to myself. In recent years I’ve dodged growing up like the plague. I’d even argue going to college (for me) was a way of extending the mindset of being a student and procrastinating on having to worry about real adult things. But I’m truly trying to exit that mindset now. Your videos and videos like this, truly help to touch on the problems society might gloss over in our modern culture. Where broad values like “don’t be lazy” or “work hard” are true, videos like this really go in depth with the real underlying problems and talk about how to overcome prevalent issues with our generation. You’re doing the lords work, thank you 🙏🏾

I put part of the blame on video games and the internet, but I put a lot of the blame on high schools for allowing raucous behavior. The instant the bleeding-hearts took away behavior-based consequences, discipline went out the window, and high school for all but the most motivated of kids turned into nothing more than daycares in the best instances and zoos in the worst. You HAVE to be disciplined to be a real grown up and support yourself.

Growing up is hard, I was in some ways forced into it a couple years ago, comes with its own sets of challenges but it's been good. I'd say that sometimes we just simply need... a little push.

Okay I could be wrong in thinking of this but this whole “man-child or even woman-child”
Could be gods way of letting us enjoy our younger times as we did when we’re young but with a mature and maybe wise perspective as we made a bunch immature decisions and had not so pleasant moments when we were kids but now we have a chance to enjoy that young life while there’s still time before the reality of adulthood sucks up all the fun or we can’t do what we enjoyed doing as kids when were fully in that adult life
Needless to say when there’s a time to chill and play, play till your hearts contend.
But when it comes to do the hard thing that must be done like bills, moneys, or other matters, deal with them with the upmost professionalism and adulteress till it’s over.
As we all only have one life and it’s up to us to enjoy said life to our best of our ability then have someone forcibly tell us to grow up left right and center to where we can’t enjoy said life.
You won’t be able to constantly respond in life like video game character responses after they died. Make of that of you will.
So I say dispight this man child thing going on I say I’ll enjoy the life I got even if it’s childish to some but when it’s time to act like the adult in certain situations the fun and games are over, not forever, but till the work is over.
So hopefully this resonates with someone
Again I could be wrong but that’s how I’m going about this situation then flat out giving up

    thinking of which
realizing ALL of it at age of 15 is both blessing and curse at the same time.
    1. blessing because in span of a month i learned how to catch up to my friends which played basketball for past 2-3 years
(my only problem is stamina, i already suprassed them in pure skill by like length of russia)
    2. Curse because none really understands you yet you understand them because you were there already
Trying to explain them why what i do is the one which in 99% never fails
    while also being like:
"ok i get it why you bullied me but cmon grow up already kiddo"
I feel like i have expierenced in past 4 years full life of a 35 years old guy which never really tried anything new in his life
    Or
Its just me learning from lessons i was given by god while others decided to ignore it until their brain reach it's peak and it's like "Yeah we messed up buddy"

Most of my friends, they were distracted by Social Media. And I was like my friend too, but then I realise what I'm doing is not beneficial to me, so then I change. I listen to Jorden Peterson, Robert Greene, Andrew Huberman, Miyamoto Musashi. Those people are great and they give good advice too. And now I find your channel, it's really help me throughout my day. Watching your video is like keeping reminding me of why I'm doing what I'm doing.

I got into Star Wars and Marvel when I was around 8 or 9 years old. I'm now in my 30's and I still watch these things knowing that the target audience is children or young people. But many "men" online are taking these movies and tv shows as if it should be on par with Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad or as if these are still being made for them. When George Lucas said he created Star Wars for children, grown men threw a tantrum. This attitude will ruin what should be inspiring future generations will have to change to keep the currwnt generation happy.
I always argue that there is a reason why there's Lego Star Wars and Lego Marvel but no Lego Game of Thrones .

1:37 You know, this said fundamental truth of life was invented by humanity by evolving. And same with the amount of overstimulating distractions. It would probably have been better for humanity if it hadn't evolved. Because these are all such small matters that only exist because we invented them and allowed them to happen.

The thinkers like Peterson are nice for getting out of your comfort zone, but it’s important to be critical of some of the sexist and weird things they also spout. No woman wants to be with a man who hates women, and nothing makes you hate women (whether you realize it or not) like listening to a podcast where women are demeaned or othered the whole time. Trust me
