I clutched my pearls looking at all that sugar . lol . I can get local strawberries at the farm . At a previous job I had . A pt had a small farm and I bought eggs and whatever she had fresh from her and her husband . Her strawberries were so delicious and were fragrant like the ones you have . I also have a local farm market that has them too .
It's been so long since I made jam with sugar, I'd forgotten how much sugar goes into it. I use Pamona pectin. Since I don't use sugar, the jam isn't as loose as those with added sugar. For a bit of sweetness, I add a bit of monkfruit sweetener. Mine isn't as sweet as regular jam, but very tasty and much healthier. I eat mine for breakfast daily, so I need a jam that's less of a treat food.

Sundays at Kevin's house. Having my coffee while visiting. Beautiful produce at the farm store, and fun to see Harry the greeter dog at work. I love the bouquet you created. Maybe you can use the Veronica flower in a Forth of July bouquet, kind of looks like a firework. Lovely summer bouquet. The strawberry jam looks delicious with the creme fraiche and biscuits. Orange spice tea seems like the perfect accompanying beverage. Kevin, I reached for my pearls, but forgot to put them on yet today. I have made apple jam before, with sliver chunks of apple in it. But I processed it in hot water. Fun, but a project. I will have to try making strawberry freezer jam. It's definitely strawberry season right now around here. The fresh summer strawberries taste wonderful! Blueberries start in early to mid July. I have a friend who grows blueberries and will probably go and spend part of a day picking blueberries. Actually a relaxing activity, but I end up munching on blueberries while picking them. Anyway, thank you for the video. Enjoy your Sunday and see you next time.♥️💐🌸💮🍓🍰🫖🫐🌼🐕

Thank you for another calming bit of serenity in this crazy world.
I am sitting on my back porch in the beautiful sunshine with my small back porch garden eating hot coffee and the best biscuits I have EVER put in my mouth! I don't make or eat biscuits often but after watching your show yesterday I just had to try the recipe!! I cut it in half because there is just myself and my two cats, Big Guy and Little Man. I didn't have coconut oil so I had to use butter. But with out a doubt they were the lightest, most tender biscuits I ever made, let alone ever ate. Thank your for the recipe and thank you for your video which, after I discovered it, have been "binge" watching. So enjoy your music and your subjects. Please don't quit!!!!
Always enjoy my Plant City Fl fresh Strawberry's. Big, giant, juicy and red. This jam recipe is one that I am looking so forward to using. My plan is to make at least 36 half pint jars. This jam is also going to be excellent to use on banana splits, or to mix with plain yogurt as a fruit dip, also as a dressing for spinach salad. YUM. Love you Kevin, keep those streams a coming. I'd be lost without them.
The countryside in your area is so beautiful. You may want to try making biscuits with heavy whipping cream. When I am in a hurry for biscuits, I use only two ingredients-White Lily self-rising flour and heavy whipping cream-I just pour the heavy whipping cream into the flour a little bit at a time until I get the right consistency; then, proceed as with any other biscuit recipe. These biscuits turn out perfect every time!!! I usually use two cups of flour and about a cup of heavy whipping cream-this is a very easy amount to work with.

Love your show Kevin, love making any kind of jam or jelly here, from dandelion to strawberry they are all good! Nice to see your "clutch your pearls" moment, so many people panic over the amount of sugar used in jam making but they never seem to realize your not eating a cup of jam with each serving, actual portion size the sugar is quite low! I'd like to see your take on making bannock or fry bread when your serving your jam, a traditional first nations "bread" that has an incredible flavor and elevates the flavor of jams and jellies too!
Nothing looks as lovely as fresh flowers in a home. Your berries look so nice I can almost smell them too. Nothing tastes as good as homemade jam, whether it be on biscuits, toast, sandwiches or ice cream.

Hi Kevin! You bring so much beauty to us with your lovely persona and delicious recipes. Growing up in Santiago de Chile, tea time was the most important time of the day. I still have my tea time with a yummy treat every single day here in USA. Thank you so much. ❤️
I have never made freezer jam. I usually make the cooked type, but the freezer type definitely looks easier. I have a recipe that I got from a Kraft Foods magazine they used to put out yrs ago for Strawberry Banana Jam. It is my absolute favorite. We have a couple of pick your own Strawberry places around here. That's generally where I get my strawberries for jam.
Flowers are lovely. My brother owned a flower shop for 30 some years and when we delivered a a soft flowers we always put a tsp of bleach in the water then and after every change this helped prevent slimy leaves and stocks also kept the water clear. Thx for all your great videos 🇨🇦
The square cake stand is just stunning! Royal Albert Moonlight Rose pattern tea set? It just elevates the treat. Thank you for sharing your lovely table.
I use strawberries in several jams and don’t use pectin. In strawberry rhubarb jam I simmer it for 30 minutes or so before putting it in jars for the water bath canner. Texture is not totally firm but is fine for toast. Other strawberry jams I make have natural pectin from either blueberries, cranberries or apples and the sugar amount is about half that of the fruit. Your videos are wonderful. The word ethereal comes to mind. Thank you for all your work to bring us moments of grace and serenity.
I just happened to be enjoying a cup of Orange Spice tea from Tierra Farm while I watched this episode tonight! Thank you so much for introducing me to this wonderful product - I think I’ve now placed about five orders with them, and I do not see an end in sight! Also, the Darjeeling is, like you said, the best I’ve ever tasted. I wish there was a Kevin video every day, but I am grateful for two excellent videos a week!
Kevin, we have two strawberry farms near us. One is run by the Tuttle family and it is in my hometown. The other is Rudd's Farm and it is in Greensboro, NC. They both have absolutely delicious strawberries, and we look forward every spring to strawberry season. I use the same jam recipe as you with the regular pectin and suger.
I do believe that I will try your jam recipe and find perfect strawberries like you used. Thank you for including the car ride with the beautiful countryside drive.
Reminds me I need to make my freezer strawberry-rhubarb jam. I never use pectin anymore. It's expensive and doesn't always work, so I just cook it longer. 🥰
I make the jam that stores on a shelf, I wouldn't have the freezer space or I would try this recipe! It looks great! Looks like a lot less trouble this way!
I grow some strawberries, however, I went to my local farm to buy a big enough amount to make jam. I can mine but use the same sure-jell yellow box too. I also had homemade biscuits with strawberry jam earlier today. I think your flower arrangements always look very pretty. Your videos are so calming.
I have wanted to make jam. Now I will try this tomorrow Absolutely love afternoon tea . Always had clotted cream in England.Harry is cute , would love to have him greet me and the floral arrangement is lovely. Fun to see Avery checking on Dad. Locally most strawberries are shipped from other states. We have a couple of farms that offer strawberries, not organic. I usually purchase at Sprouts.
I really enjoyed watching you make the jam and biscuits! I live in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania! Our strawberries are less sweet this year than usual because of the unusually warm and dry weather! They are always a treat, regardless! Take care my friend! ❤️

I keep my pearls close to my heart.
4 cups of sugar did make me clutch my pearls! I will make it anyways, because we all know that the low sugar will taste exactly that!
Flowers are lovely. My brother owned a flower shop for 30 some years and when we delivered a a soft flowers we always put a tsp of bleach in the water then and after every change this helped prevent slimy leaves and stocks also kept the water clear. Thx for all your great videos 🇨🇦
Those biscuits and strawberry jam look absolutely perfect - I will definitely be trying these recipes and I love your flower arrangement!
The square cake stand is just stunning! Royal Albert Moonlight Rose pattern tea set? It just elevates the treat. Thank you for sharing your lovely table.
I have never had an American biscuit. I need to bake some asap! Thank you for the video!
Greetings from South Africa.
Hey to you from Browns Summit, NC!! Rudd's is great!
A Sunday 🚗 drive through the beautiful countryside...return home with 💐 flowers and then make biscuits with jam. A perfect sunday...thank you Kevin😊
I do believe that I will try your jam recipe and find perfect strawberries like you used. Thank you for including the car ride with the beautiful countryside drive.
Yum, Kevin!! Looks delish! ❤
Reminds me I need to make my freezer strawberry-rhubarb jam. I never use pectin anymore. It's expensive and doesn't always work, so I just cook it longer. 🥰
I’m sitting here watching your video and I swear I can smell strawberries! 🍓🍓🍓
Hello, the greenery is « fusain du Japon » I think. Nice day.
I make the jam that stores on a shelf, I wouldn't have the freezer space or I would try this recipe! It looks great! Looks like a lot less trouble this way!
Hallo, Kevin, sehr interessante Rezepte. Danke❤❤
