I was raised in the New Age/occult and had experiences which I put away when I became Christian. 10 years into being Christian and God knocked on my heart about the gifts and I am currently being discipled in Remnant's WSSM. I was recently delivered by my group leader and another woman in my group from my lifetime of the New Age, not realizing I had an "open door" still in my life and was continuing to struggle to sort between what was demonic and what was of God. The more I tried to pursue God and His gifts the worse the spiritual war got. All of this to say, make sure you REPENT. I dont know why I had this blindness to repentence on this topic for so long, but be sure to do it. I think going from the occult to a materialistic or cessationist Christian worldview made me think I could just wash it away as not real and then was never repentent and left a wide open door to the demonic. We NEED more pathways for people from occultism to Christianity that acknowledges their experiences as, first of all, real, and second of all, require deliverance.

Heavenly Father hear my prayers. Give me courage. As a single mother, raising not one but two children on the spectrum I am overwhelmed and I’m constantly struggling to pay bills. Struggling to buy groceries, struggling to do it all. I want to give up however faith is all I have left and faith is all I need. FATHER GIVE ME STRENGTH.❤️

Great topic here. The church has a tendency to avoid this topic due to lack of knowledge, experience and fear. We cannot allow the witches and warlocks to be the authority on spiritual experiences. 1 Cor 12:1 Paul says do not be ignorant or unaware of the “spiritual”. Gifts is not in the original… We would do well to know how to to help folks that are sensitive and gifted in these ways understand what is happening to them and glorify God through these gifts. The easy thing to do is just call this demonic. Good stuff. Praise Jesus!

So what you’re saying is. God wired our brains into a shape of an antenna for the spirit realm. Some people’s antennas are FM quality and some are AM quality.
Which is why Paul told us to think about whatever is holy and good…

Great way to put it. We also have the ability to have our 'reception' colored by either demonic wisdom, or Godly wisdom. To receive the Godly kind, we need to pray and be pure in spirit. We don't have to worry about these gifts leading us astray, if we stay grounded in the Word, and daily die to ourselves.

Has anyone looked into the connection between prophetic gifting and the cognitive function Introverted Intuition (NI) that people with Myers Briggs types INTJ and INFJ use as their primary function? It uses unconscious pattern recognition to anticipate future state outcomes. I've wondered if this ever creates a natural predisposition to the prophetic.

My dad was a truck driver and he had to run a little faster than legal to get his loads delivered on time. Since he was in danger of being ticketed regularly, he developed an uncanny ability of being able to tell when he needed to slow down. I was riding with him and watched him accurately predict on three separate occasions that he needed to slow down because there was a cop up ahead. Every single time he got that feeling, there was in fact a cop running radar up ahead. I thought this was some kind of spiritual gift from the Holy Spirit like a word of knowledge. I wonder what you guys or your guest would think.

The most important difference is ESP originates in the soul. The gifts of the spirit all demonstrate originally from within the spirit of a born again person, because God is a spirit, and we are born again in our spirit. It is a spirit to spirit transaction.
ESP and other like phenomena are either purely soul ish, or an evil spirit to human soul transaction.

Nope nope nope. Am I hearing correcting, why are you promoting the idea of a spiritual connection with another source as a neutral experience until harnessed by the Lord?!!!! The woman who had the spirit of divination CAST OUT OF HER was of no longer any value to the Acts 16:17-19 “When her owners realised that their hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul and Silas…to face the authorities” This is what happens when we make statistical conclusions outside the bible. Yeah there’s evidence for all sorts of ‘good’ supernatural experiences, it doesn’t mean the good is neutral, as per the same verse in Acts, the woman was crying out the TRUTH “These are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved”…. I think the ‘let’s ask more questions’ idea is flipping tables in my head! Seriously!!! There is no neutral ‘source’. This is how we allow whacko prophets into our churches, because they are “so accurate” and were “gifted from birth”. So what? Let’s look at the The Word of God that says that he gives to one a gift and to another another gift, but that is AFTER they have accepted the Lord it is HE that gives the gifts! 1 Corinthians 12:11 “All these are empowered by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills” Who knows what source they are from before that? And IMHO even if we have the “gift” then “harnessing” those gifts is against the Word of God because He gives them ‘as HE wills’ for the building up of the body…we don’t ‘harness’ our own innate abilities, and there is nothing in the bible that talks about being born a seer of God, even though Michael brought up that John was gifted and anointed from the womb…. John’s anointing was prophesied in advance and not a ‘gift’ that can be replicated, there was only ONE John who came before the Messiah, and both him and Jesus were prophesied about. You can’t extrapolate that to mean something to all believers. YES I do believe that some Christian kids grow up having gifts of insight and words of knowledge and dreams. But they need to be tested like any other spirit and they can’t be relied upon, in fact there is a verse that says that the prophets need to confirm if that prophecy is correct and true 1 Corinthians 14:29 “Two or three prophets should speak and the others should WEIGH CAREFULLY what is said and further in verse 31 “for you can ALL prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged” So….even within the early church you had this structure for safety around the gifts of revelation 1 Corinthians 14:30… This shows us that the spiritual realm IS active and accessible that it is still submitted to the prophets themselves and cannot be taken as a neutral gift, the spirits MUST be from one side or the other. It’s dangerous to have a belief that accuracy of fortelling an an event = prophesy or makes a good prophet or a good gift to be harnessed. We ALL have the Holy Spirit and can all have access to the same word 1 Corinthians 14:5 Paul says “I wish you would ALL prophesy” because prophesy SHOULD bring REPENTANCE which brings a person to believe in Jesus because it shows that in 1 Corinthians 14:24 “But if all prophesy and an unbeliever or uninstructed person should come in, he is convicted and called into account by all as the secrets of his heart are disclosed; and so he will fall on his face and worship God, declaring that God is certainly among you”. That is all to say that the prophecy gift is not Holy to the Lord if it is “just a gift I;ve always had” because ALL believers have the Holy Spirit and we should all learn to hear Him in order to bring repentance and salvation, not for tell when the next crime is going to be committed. This is how we discern, by going to the Word and not making conclusions based on evidence outside the word.

I've always had premonitions, dreams and even visions my entire life even before being born again. The visions and seeing in the Spirit really amped up after being born again. Now after a few decades of being a Christian they have slowed down greatly for some reason. I still often "know" things but the visions and dreams are pretty much null right now.

I've been studying Revelation based on what others have taught, especially Chuck Missler but also J Vernon McGee, for several years. But for just over 2 years, I have felt God pulling me into a personal study of Revelation, following wherever the Spirit leads and then testing each thing by the Word. I have been absolutely floored by how much scriptural evidence I have found for the things he has shared with me. I have cried dozens if not hundreds of times over the goodness of God in all that he has revealed. I'm writing a book but still a year or two from publication.
One of the things that I know as a result is that Revelation 2 and 3 are not just historic but future prophetic. (And really, so are the psalms and the prophets, but that would require more proof.) Hopefully, it is not too much of a stretch to believe that 2 chapters in what Christ called "the book of this prophecy" are prophetic (Rev. 22:19), especially when the theme of these 7 letters is how to conquer death forever by being reborn as a son of God, eating from the tree of life, becoming a bright morning star, and reigning with Christ.
Also in these letters (and rampant in the psalms and prophets) can be found the worship of false gods associated with idolatry. Babylon, featured heavily in Revelation, has been particularly associated with idolatry and the worship of false gods. The false gods of the Bible, Baals and Ashteroths, are really just the fallen angels: Deut 17:3, 2 K 17:16, 2 K 21:3, 2 Chron 33:3, Jer 8:2, and Acts 7:42. So it makes sense that as the world worships the dragon and the beast, the worship of false gods returns and becomes commonplace. Jesus in fact said that Baal Zebul was Satan (Matt. 12:24).
Satan and his fallen angels have presented themselves as various pantheons across time. Satan is Zeus, Marduk, Bel, Hadad, Baal, Jupiter, Ra, and many others. The Prostitute of Babylon is Ishtar, whose famous gate to Babylon marks her out as a special goddess to the city and where she was the goddess of sex and war with temples of prostitution. Ishtar is also known as Ashtoreth, the queen of heaven, Aphrodite, Venus, Inana, and several other names.
So, yes, I would fully expect for the supernatural and paranormal phenomena to be on the rise. Everything will dramatically return to the same levels of worship and the abundance of temples to false gods that we saw in the peak of Greek and Roman mythology. Jews will be exiled from Israel for chasing the false gods.
What has been will be again,
    what has been done will be done again;
there is nothing new under the sun.
    --Ecclesiastes 1:9, NIV

I’m planning on watching this tomorrow but I’ve been reading a book on parapsychology and honestly it’s caused some questions for me, and specifically it’s made me think of you guys. Maybe you touch on this in the video, but does this field of research make you think maybe rather than prophecy as a gift from God it’s just an innate gifts in humans that’s outside of naturalistic explanations? This field of research does kind of make it difficult to grasp onto a lot of traditional apologetics. For example, could the resurrection be explained by a uniquely extreme exertion of mind by the disciples or Jesus himself? (I was reading where some monks may be able to stop their own hearts). Can modern miracles in Jesus name be explained by these type of phenomenon? Or the OT prophecies of Jesus. I do think there are some areas where it seems Christianity wins out over something like panentheism or panpyschism (which a lot of the researchers of this stuff are) but it definitely muddies the waters on things I’ve always considered to be strong evidence of Christianity alone. I’d be interested to know you guys thoughts if it wasn’t touched on in the video.
