I remembered last year sleet and snow storm in Kansas City. I was loading at Tyson south of 435 and I was supposed to be loaded 6 hrs ago. So snoozed and woke up to sleet and snow freezing on the roads. Got out of Tyson at 2 AM and creeping along @ 35 mph to get on I- 435 was slick but snow plow trucks blading and putting on salt and sand which helps. I was still doing 35 - 40 mph. When a truck with Amazon trailer came flying by at least 65 mph. He got about a half a mile ahead and his whole truck and trailer does a 360 and slams the side of his truck into the guard rail on the hammer lane side facing towards me. He gets out and looking around and then got back in the truck. Asked if he was OK on CB . Believe or not answered back saying he calling a tow truck as he had bent rims. I said OK and kept on trucking 35 mph all the way to my mom and pop truckstop outside of KC in Missouri along I-70 to shut down for a bit. The mom and pop have home cooked food and one of my regular layover spots. It's been arond since the late 80's It's not fancy place, but is a big rock lot to get traction when snowy and icy out as the rocks move and tires crunch the ice and snow. They usually have various pies from the local farm wives sells to them. So can usually have a nice piece of homade pies. All sorts of flavors. I put up my fancy card board radiator cover with bungee cords so the truck heats up and then got some breakfast.

I went to this place in Cali, If I recall it was somewhere in Commerce,it was a live unload,got there on time , 10hrs for 8 pallets.
