Lol. Hairy palms! Loved watching you paint man. I agree. Make the hobby your own and don't put unnecessary pressure on yourself. I know I'm not amazing but I enjoy what I can achieve. And if anything I have seen tiny improvements with my own painting. And yeah. Patience to do top class paint jobs on every mini is not my jam either. I will take time with some though.
Thanks! I think painting anything is an achievement and these days i'm more about fielding painted guys than half a team of grey plastic. When you know everyone has put a bit of love and effort into the team/army you're facing it just makes it better, no matter how 'well' they're painted. You've definitely improved, you can see that in your most recent models. You're doing it the right way in my opinion, by getting stuck in and painting a lot.
@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist cheers man. I'm definitely less intimidated now. Been distracted away from terrain by some skitarii. Just need to paint their undercarriage, get them on their bases then I'll make sure to paint up the kill team terrain.
It was cool seeing him from start to finish and will be great to see the whole team. Are you going to put a team picture on Instagram? I would have never thought about added the bone colour in to the yellow for a highlight. It really worked well and I will have to use that one. 👍 Really glad you mentioned about paints not lasting, because I thought it was a conspiracy against me!!
Thanks! Yes, i'll put a team pic on Instagram, definitely. I love these guys. The Screaming Skull/Yriel looked just like Dorn yellow, which has also gone lumpy, so I was very happy it worked. Some of the paints are a nightmare, some are great. I'm going to get one of those Vortex shakers and see if I can rescue a few pots I think. Loved your Wraithlord, by the way!
@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist Cheers on the Wraith unit. I am trying to push it a bit. See how it goes, but the main priority it to have another unit to play with. I have a vortex mixer and it really gives me confidence in knowing the colour is mixed. Contrast paints being a prime example. I find that every quarter I will rattle through my paints with the mixer and then I know they are in a good state. Also my son loves doing it!
@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist I now have a similar collection of bad eyes, combined with unsteady hands and the inability to see in focus enough to complete a single miniature, yet alone a complete team. But now I just speak to Drewblood and Commission them, and then I am happy 😊
@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist What exact color did you use for the undercoat? My friend tried Guiliman Flesh over Grey Seer undercoat and it came out a lot darker than yours appears to on video. I would like to achieve your look.

Copying this paint scheme and I am now sold on the flesh paint. Great results.
Thank you! Guilliman flesh is a godsend. So easy.

Nice, I look forward to seeing them!
Thanks for a great video. Finally get around to painting my norse team
Thanks! They’re great models, have fun!
nice...the more I see these Norsemen - especially painted, the more I think about getting them.
I’d go for it. I’m excited to finish off the full team. Should look pretty good on the field.
Very nice paint job!
Thanks! Nice and quick, but fairly effective.
Great colors! I will going to use this m8! One question, whats the primer? Grey seer?
I think I used Wraithbone on that one. Thanks for the kind words!!
@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist Thank you sir!

I can’t wait to see your progress!
I never thought of using child labour for shaking my paints. Interesting…
When you say wraith bone, is that the colour of the primer? Or do you give a brushed coat before the contrasts? As that skin contrast in phenomenal
Just Wraithbone spray primer. And thanks!
Yellow, such a hard colour to paint 🎨 💛
Definitely. I need to work on it a lot! It’s a shame, because it looks good with almost everything.
Looks great are we going to see these guys in action in a future video by any chance?
Yeah, why not? I’ve had a good few games of Blood Bowl recently, I’ll work out a reporting setup. And thanks!
A great attitude towards painting, although I now send all mine to Drewblood as it now means that my teams have never looked so good 🙂
Thanks, it’s more necessity than design these days - my eyes are terrible! I just had a look at Drewblood, very nice!

Brave of you to use a light undercoat, I (at least when I still painted) used Chaos Black to undercoat.
Thanks, it was purely for the contrast to work.I couldn’t face undercoating those bits again.

Wraithbone spray. It’s a bit warmer than the grey seer.
@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist Thank you!
Hi, wondered if you had a list of paints you used, just so I didn’t need to go through and compile them 😂
I’ll compile one for you and post it in the description. I really need to get better at that!
@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist thank you so so much. If it is an effort don’t worry I can compile them lol
It’s something I should be doing anyway. 😁
