Grocery store, walking outside with the wind, etc., make it unbearable for the other caller. Curious to know if you had the first gen and had background noise problems .... or with the new Airpods Pro... any comments from your callers on the other end of the line related to wind and/or background noise?

I just got mine and I don't know if they're broken. I still can ear all the noises around me, even with some music on , they're just quiter. Is it normal? The noises just seem more far, I'm in my room with the door open and I can definitely hear the washing machine working from the other room.

I know they can’t cancel everything but I was expecting more from how my friends and other people reviewed them. Someone was using a loud machine when I was outside and when I put mine in without sound I couldn’t hear it but I could semi hear cars go by. With music I didn’t hear any cars, noise and we have a bunch of trucks go by that are loud and idk if they went by or not because I couldn’t hear them. But if I’m sitting in the living room and my laptop is in front of me at medium or below volume and I have noise canceling on with music at 50% I can still hear it enough that it’s a distraction. Like right now with nothing playing I can still hear the tv. But they are the most comfortable earbuds I’ve ever had, the spacial sound is awesome, they don’t feel like they fall out or anything but I was expecting more cancelled sounds so idk.

My anxiety is really bad that I cannot ship or go into malls etc.. if I don’t have my AirPods in to listen to music so I don’t hear other people. @@ecommedu going into it, the ANC was the flagship feature of the pros, so i wasn’t expecting much from the Transparency mode. But i feel like Transparency does better at amplifying sounds than ANC does at blocking sounds, if that makes sense. Both are great tho
Hope you read this before deciding to buy it. Don’t get me wrong, I love them - but be aware that these or any other noise canceling phones aren’t extremely good with canceling non-linear sounds. Example: in a plane you’ll still hear the audio announcements but the turbines and wind sound will be very very quiet. So it may be that you’ll still hear your neighbor but with a more muffled sound.
SCO SHOW my suggestion is to make sure you test it with and without music/audio. It makes a big difference for the audience looking for only noise canceling. Good thing is that it’s great with music even in a low to medium volume - in my experience.

@@christianquilantang3259 the seal test is not really good. Also they are not defective, airpods cant cancel out sudden noises, no headphones or earbuds can. Airpods cancel out for example car engine sound or airplane sound.
@@rikzworld2010 I believe it is bad for your sleep quality due to the bluetooth radiation. Certain doctors say it can cause cancer (Not sure if research supports that). I would do some research if I were you to be sure.

I just said I had AirPod pros and hated the noise canceling feature because I could literally still hear every thing it was just quieter
