@@giftofthewild6665 Yes there are reasons to slow down, but given he was looking over his shoulder for traffic to merge into it was clear he was slowing because he didn't understand the junction. If you see a learner, be aware they may make mistakes, give them plenty of space and give yourself plenty of space to react to any mistakes, which then avoids honking your horn to a learner taking a mock or exam. Driver behind didn't think about that.
Bless him, I've had some roads like this throw me out before and they can feel very unnatural to continue on. Especially when you've got rude, impatient, 'perfect' drivers around you.
This would catch out allot of qualified drivers who aren't from that area or familiar with that roundabout. It won't catch you out next time. Your instructor is making sure you'll be ready for it. Don't fret it.
It's easy to do as a learner. On my driving test, the lights weren't working as I approached a crossroad, and although I knew I should treat it as a roundabout, I stopped. There was no way I would risk my life hoping a big wagon showing no signs of slowing down knew that I had the right of way. Common sense is sometimes the right thing to do.
There's no need, but there's also no harm at the speeds he was going. You are always able to stop if u feel it could be unsafe or there's a hazard. The car behind should always leave safe stopping distance.
Nothing wrong with a little beep to let people know what went wrong. One or two short honks are fine in my eyes. Other driver just gave the kid a little head's up. It's what I'd want.
I just watched a learner mount the roundabout island and nearly roll their car! This kid's error is minor by comparison. There's no signage to show that's a slip road. We just had this exact road layout closed off because of all the confusion and crashes it caused.

@@WilliamFairfield-qq2tq oh yeah! And people who indicate to tell you to overtake, I’m not overtaking you if you’re indicating to turn!!
The way she’s looking at him 😭😭😭
Horns are available to prevent accidents & not to express emotions ❤
Better to be safe than sorry 😅
Definitely
You've more chance of being sorry for stopping unnecessarily like that when you're not supposed to.
@@swiftyblueredblue715 shouldn't be a problem if you don't create a dangerous situation
@G4meplayVids the key word there being shouldn't. What about the person behind you who knows that's a straight carry on lane, and looks right thinking 'nobody is that stupid to stop in a normal lane for no reason'.. bang..
@swiftyblueredblue715 That person is an idiot for assuming things and not driving preventively while paying proper attention to their surroundings...
Could you do a video on maybe how to get back on the road after having a car accident? It's been almost 8 months, and I have not driven. I have anxiety and don't know how to overcome this x would help a lot (ive been driving since 2005 and this was the only time ive ever made a mistake) 😢
You can't let these things get to you, I crashed into a lamppost of all things and write off my car, and I said to myself, don't let it get to you, mistakes happen! A mistake is only bad if you don't learn from it, so you can get back into driving if you try hard 👍
@@picklestheswift thank you
That beeped saved him so much time , congrats to the driver behind him, I can see that it was detrimental to the driver that he needed to get home that day ☠️
Everyone pay attention to the instructors ending blink, it scared the shit out of me lmao
Always give learners room
At least he acknowledged what he did to his instructor, shows he will make a good driver
It’s legally required in the U.K. to give the finger/wanker sign to anyone who honks you for any reason, that’s an instant fail there sadly 😢 better to learn now though than on the real test
Slowing down without a give way marking is an instant fail?
@@giftofthewild6665 You're basically just slowing down significantly for no reason in the middle of the road with someone behind you who isn't going to expect it, so somewhat dangerous. Can see it being a major fault and hence a fail.
@@mattc3581 What if the reason you slowed was because something got in your eye (e.g. a piece of dust or bright sunlight) and your visibility was impaired? Then if you didn't slow down you'd be driving recklessly.
Don't worry about cars behind you. Unless you're on a motorway it's not dangerous at all for you to slow down without warning. It happens all the time for various reasons. Cars behind should have a proper braking distance from you and if they don't they are driving dangerously.
@@giftofthewild6665 Yes there are reasons to slow down, but given he was looking over his shoulder for traffic to merge into it was clear he was slowing because he didn't understand the junction.
Also, though someone going into the back of you will almost always be considered the fault of the person behind for insurance purposes for not leaving sufficient room, that doesn't mean it isn't potentially dangerous to slow or stop suddenly. So it isn't a great thing to be doing.
Bro this instructor is so beautiful
Seriously dude wow
Always stay way back with a learner… never blow my horn… we all had to start somewhere!! I had buses pulling out on me when I was half way past the bus when I was learning… still get PTSD even after 20 years of driving!!!
We all make the odd mistake even once we’ve passed our test. A shame on the lad, he was likely nervous which caused him to be over cautious.
If she was my instructor I would be the new spongebob
Why is Aman so beautiful?
If you see a learner, be aware they may make mistakes, give them plenty of space and give yourself plenty of space to react to any mistakes, which then avoids honking your horn to a learner taking a mock or exam. Driver behind didn't think about that.
Bless him, I've had some roads like this throw me out before and they can feel very unnatural to continue on. Especially when you've got rude, impatient, 'perfect' drivers around you.
I always drive super aggressively around student drivers. It's best they learn early....
same you gotta cut them off and whiteline near them 😭 get them scared so there’s one less car you gotta worry about taking your parking space
@@faisal-kr2jy 😂😂😂
Damn u guys are a little rough eh 😂
Guys honks are meant to alert other drivers of danger or mistakes in the first place... people just use it a lot more for anger
Knowing what you did wrong is what matters most.
I had an idiot honk at me at a stop sign. My instructor jumped out went to the pickup driver and gave him a piece of her mind 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
These kinds of turns that run parallel to the runway are signposted on the runway diagrams, just make sure you read them to double check
This would catch out allot of qualified drivers who aren't from that area or familiar with that roundabout.
It won't catch you out next time. Your instructor is making sure you'll be ready for it. Don't fret it.
Exactly this 👍
He realised straight away what he did wrong. He’s gonna be a good driver.
What did he do wrong..?🤔
No need to stop in that lane.. he had the right of way.
No signal
@@Tait1990 no, he came to a stop when he didn't need to, it wasn't really part of the roundabout.
@@Tait1990 Oh dear...
There's no need, but there's also no harm at the speeds he was going. You are always able to stop if u feel it could be unsafe or there's a hazard. The car behind should always leave safe stopping distance.
NOOOOOO as soon as he stop I was screaming 😂 bless him
Nothing wrong with a little beep to let people know what went wrong. One or two short honks are fine in my eyes. Other driver just gave the kid a little head's up. It's what I'd want.
Please explain this to me.
You don’t need to give way in that lane.
Pay attention to the lines on the road.
No give way sign, basically he just stopped randomly on a road with flowing traffic
I just watched a learner mount the roundabout island and nearly roll their car! This kid's error is minor by comparison.
There's no signage to show that's a slip road. We just had this exact road layout closed off because of all the confusion and crashes it caused.
The worlds most impatient road user behind him
I literally cant drive because if someone honked their horn at me id literally stop the car and panic 😂
Honking at a learner is one of the best ways to teach them.
the comments and reactions I got from drivers when I was a learner made me realise some people dont deserve to be behind the wheel🥴....
Hate people who beep at learners. Just be patient! They’re learning of course they will make mistakes
Beeper was impatient asf.
I think the biggest testiment to your teaching here is that he very quickly reflected on what he done himself and probably won't do it again. That's class. I think too many tutors are eager to jump in to 'do the work' to correct him but your silence here was perfect.
You could argue the point that the van was drifting towards his lane and he made a safe observation to keep out of the way of the potential accident, he didn’t feel confident the van wasn’t going to cut into the lane. Kept everyone safe. But then, yeah they will still give you a fail for this.
Thought he was at a roundabout. Realised he wasn’t
First time I took my driving test, I failed so bad my exam instructor was chewing/biting her finger nails and spitting them out of my window. Clearly my stoned friends weren’t the best teachers. Second time around my father taught me, he was a truck driver for over 20 years with literally a million miles under his belt. Needless to say I passed.
Imagine beeping at a learner driver
She is so calm even when he made mistakes, I'm learning to drive a car and whenever I make a small mistake the teacher scolds me 😭😭 and my confidence goes down, and that too his a male sometimes make me uncomfortable to be with him 😭😭😭😭
The way he was like, ‘Oh Ik what I did now’ 😂
For everyone saying not to honk at a learner car, clearly the honking had him realize what he did wrong cause the instructor didn’t say a damn thing
It really upset me when drivers beeped at me during my lessons. As an older learner, I was hyper aware of everything already so I already knew I was irritating people, I didn't need to be beeped at too. Now I've passed, I always stay behind learners to protect them from the idiots who can't remember when they were learners. Be kind, people.
I love her smile 😂
I remember when I failed my test like this, I was pissed coz I never got taken on a roundabout like this before my test and didn’t even know it existed 🙃
Where I live people do this all the time at one of the roundabouts and I’m used to it that it doesn’t bother me 🤣
I was just in the UK, and watching the driving style, it's so much more chaotic than in the US
Guys the horn let's you know they are they because if you are stopping randomly with a car behind you they are gonna think you're having an issue or you don't know they're there
this is a PSA that not all driving schools/DMVs have marked cars that students use when practicing or taking their exam!!
You really learn to drive once you get passed the test.
Why are people so upset about the horn? Here its used exactly like its designed to be used.
Its not meant for road rage
The guy prolly honked incase someone came up behind with speed
I try and overtake a learner wherever I can cause I don’t like being stuck behind one, but when I do get stuck I never honk or gesticulate at them. We’ve all been there. Im just mindful that they could stop at random points so I’m extra vigilant. Now if you’re not a learner and do stupid shit, I’m f-ing and blinding and road rage takes over lol
I know nothing about driving but even I wouldn't stop there
the side eye 😂
