in the first ep, the man who claimed to be the king said whoever defeats the lunatic magician will inherit his kingdom and then he turned to dust. and those two adventurers resigned from laios' party after the red dragon incident.
About the mad mage, He's mentioned in the series' beginning intro in episode 1. I'd recommend keeping those little tidbits of world building in mind as you keep going. It's not just flavor text. In fact some bits of world building are just there in the background but you won't notice it's significance until far later. Heck I'd go so far as to say even thematically everything is set up as early as these first episodes.
While Laios is not player Lloyd's VA, Falin is in fact played Yor's. Marcille is also played by the drunk prodigy from Bocchi the Rock that Bocchi looks up to.
Damn, you immediately recognized Hayami Saori's voice. I feel ashamed cause it took me awhile until I looked up Falin's VA. Voice actors that are so good I can't recognize them off the bat.
yay new ep :D also idk where you're watching the ep but the subtitles seem consistently a bit off, I hope they don't end up saying something confusing later lol
I have to admit the first half of this season was a slow burn for me, but I kept with it hoping it gets better. Luckily, the 2nd half of the season is where it really gets good.
Disagree, it was good from the start just focused on saving Fallin and eating good food on the way. Tons of great moments and establishing bits and the characters are the best hook
@@mysticdigital5936 For you, sure. The characters and the story didn't get interesting to me till the 2nd half of the season. Thus, slow burn. It's better now since you have real drama and real stakes involved.
@@ashtonturner2862 the thing is, there’s only drama and stakes cuz you care about the characters. When a series spends time to set up the cast and establish dynamics, you care. And so when there’s actual problems will affect you more than a story that doesn’t. Not only that, slow burns allow for more natural exposition and world building.

Falin's VA also voices Shinobu from Demon Slayer ^.^
Yes, it's the same VA@@akyraisconfused

Remember what happened in this episode, the actions and choices they made will have effect later...oh, I am mainly talking about the sorbet.
WAHOO! The debut of one of my favorite characters! (Kabru)
The mad mage is the one from chapter 1's intro narration!

watching this ep after 21 makes me laugh
I love your cat! 10/10 good reaction buddy
Can't wait to see your surprise when the story goes like a PVP with friendly fire allowed.
Kabru is here ❤❤ it's also his birthday today (May 28)
As someone with autism, I relate to Laois in so many ways, especially since I have a knack for accidentally offending people.
"He's so cute"
Me: *evil cackles* He is
Kabru my beloved
oh nice, another reaction video.
I am badly craving sorbet now 😅
I love Kabru

@@SantaClaus-kk8zr Frieren wasn't slow burn for me. I was hooked from the first episode due to the solid characters and excellent writing.
