Well New Orleanians have a different accent from all of the others in the southern states of America. It's very easy to tell apart our accent from the rest of the South though. When you say Southern American, that can easily confuse someone with someone who's from South America as in the continent below ours lol. We're just call Southerners or where I'm from, Cajuns/Creoles.
