4:08 Liked how KAORI softened her tone and gave it a bit more life to blend with REMI's classical head voice. KAORI was truly a versatile singer and gave SH a lot of flexibility in the type of vocal parts that could be written. She was like the lead vocalist of the group at this point.
All these years and all those different singers singing this song, I still think this is the best version of the song. Kaori's voice really suits battle/action-themed songs...
I prefer the version with more singers because of the varied tones and how it's like characters singing different parts. I do feel the charm of the original though.
Watched this again feeling like I'd not seen it before until I saw my comment from months ago. 😂 I was smiling and feeling so proud of Kaori hearing her take this entire song then realized this is the original. My first and favorite version is with the full roster of Harmonia sisters including MIKI, EnMari and Haruka. I can really feel the energy and novelty of the early songs through this version. The vocals got more polished and the dances were more refined over the years. Thanks for sharing almost a decade ago.
I really feel like the Harmonia Sisters in the Triumph of Territorial Expansion really studied this version. Look at REMI at 2:51 - that he head movement with the Swift studs to sue movements was mimicked by Mari Endou in HR TTE version. At 3:27 Yuki holding up her hand to her head was matched by Miki in the TTE version.
4:10 You can hear Yuuki's slightly less stable vocals compared to Kaori's lead. I appreciate the fact that this was virtually live vocals with no processing due to the little imperfections.
Really nice to see this original version, and I loved to hear the live vocals of course, but still 6 voices are than 3… 🙏 I heard the Triumph of Territorial Expansion version and that's the definitive for me now.

I'm glad that they used this theme for Chaos Wars. It has been, and still is, one of the only SRPGs I even enjoy. Also, Shizuku is best girl.
