this was a real cool interview and this a real cool podcast, but this was sort of a missed opportunity, it would have been really great to go further in and ask meegs about the transition from the first album to chamber music... the mindset, style differences and inspiration etc leading up to it, if any, and even for the third album dark days. would have been cool to hear him talk about each era. no one has ever done that yet. but hey there's always next time! cool podcast.

Don't quote me on this, but if you track down the issue of Alternative Press from 2002/03 (?) with Coal Chamber on the cover, I *think* they discuss the rationale and regret surrounding Chamber Music (as well as how Dark Days was meant to atone for that to an extent).

Coal Chambers album Rivals that dropped in 2015 is a badass record. I bought the deluxe edition when it was released. Meegs best guitar work is on that album. Also was stoked he joined GS because they are a rad band. If you like stuff like Sevendust you may dig that band. Though I want another Coal Chamber album that they can try and top rivals with. Meeg makes some gnarly pedals and stuff and is a severely underrated guitar player. Wes Borland gets so much praise for his guitar work as he most definitely should, and his use of awesome delays and reverbs, well Meeg has cool clean tones also or cleans that still have some form of dirt on them or cool chorus effects etc etc, definitely should be respected by all guitarists. They killed it the other night in concert also before Mudvayne started🤘💀🤘🎸 SUFFER IN SILENCE!!!!!!

I was a huge fan in the 90's regrettably never saw them. Was a HUGE influence on my guitar playing. I respected that it was simple riffs that sounded massive. My question is how did he manage to keep the guitar sounding correct or without buzz etc he must of had a baritone. That is the number 1 question I always wondered. Playing in b on a standard guitar I've had nothing but problems. P.s a fantastic interview thanks!
