Hi, This is the first full tutorial I've made for RUclips and it's the one that's made me pivot the direction of my design business. You might know that I design and write circular knitting machine patterns and sell them in my Etsy shop, ErynMakesDesigns. I love doing that but it really is a labour of love. Each design and pattern takes months, and I'm beginning to feel a little burned out from it all. That's where you and RUclips comes in. Here, I can design fun little patterns that teach you new skills at the same time as making something you'll be happy with. And, big And, I get to have fun doing it because there's far less pressure. Anyway, Enjoy Grogu, and May the 4th be with you!

Thank you for this tutorial. You explain each step beautifully. I don’t mind talking especially when you give tips about how to make the project look better.

Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it. I'm glad you found my explanations helpful. I have plans to make more simple little tutorials that focus on building sewing skills. Watch this space.

Talking is ok as long as the creator continues to work, I have seen a few that stop working just to talk. You have done a fine job working and talking. 💖💖👍👍🙏🙏👍👍💖💖

That's really helpful feedback, thank you. I was feeling quite nervous, this being my first full tutorial, I'm used to writing patterns, not talking about them, so I wanted to get it right. I don't know if you've seen, but I've just released two new tutorials, a Positive Pea and a Positive Lemon. Come check them out if you haven't already. And there's lots more to come.

You're very welcome. I have plans for more simple little tutorials that will help develop skills. I just have to find a balance between my pattern writing and YT to find time for it all.

Such a great tutorial, lots of tips on how to get professional results too. Regarding chatting during a video (and I do in mine) I think it's down to the creators' style, it allows connection between the audience and the person demonstrating the pattern.
In the end we are supplying our patterns knowledge and time for free, so personally if a viewer doesn't like the chat then don't watch......
Plus I agree with the old saying "If you've nothing nice to say, say nothing at all" 🙂
It's impossible to please everyone so just be you and do your thing.

I don’t mind talking. You can learn things that way

Thank you for this excellent tutorial. I don't mind videos that do lots of talking because I just skip through the parts that I don't need to watch. I did want to mention that I've been watching a few tutorials lately on how to make various toys on a circular knitting machine and you have the best explanation on how to sew on the extra body parts :) keep up the great work and I'll be keeping an eye out for more of your creations :)

Thank you! That means a lot to me that you say that. I've always tried, whether that be in my IG reels or the written patterns I sell, to give as much help with sewing as I can because I know lots of people struggle with this. I'm hoping to create a whole series on YT dedicated to sewing tips. Thanks again for your lovely comment, you made my day.

@@ErynMakesDesigns you are most welcome :) 2 things I forgot to mention is that I didn't need to skip through your tutorial because it suited my appetite for learning and also I appreciated your use of the terminology and explanation for the "bars/legs" and how it helps to keep your work looking tidy. I made a doll with arms last night but now I'm tempted to redo the arms based on your teachings :)

Very detailed, great instructions. The only time that talking is annoying is when the person takes forever to get going and just talks about what they’re doing instead of just getting on with it. They lose me before they finally get to the project.

Thanks! That's something to think about. At the moment I'm busy filming my, Positive Fruit and Vegetables tutorials, but after that, I'll have time to think about it.
